Overall, very pleased with the appearance and quality of this furniture. It's quite heavy and the delivery people left it out in our yard when we were downstairs one morning last week, but we managed to bring it upstairs carefully. There was a scrape through the box which must have occurred during shipment, but the cabinet was sufficiently protected inside and so no damage. It looks very nice in our office.

Love the sturdiness. It was a very attractive piece of furniture and came very well packaged. The price also was very reasonable and very easy to assemble.

I'm very happy with this filing cabinet. I had one already, by Belstar, and this is my second lateral filing cabinet. This time, I decided to go with a different model I prefer this one- the lock works, the drawers slide out smoother, and they come out further so that the entire filing drawer is exposed. Much easier access.It is very heavy, but it does arrive 99% completely put together, just need to add the handles, and file dividers. Make sure you have help to move it. The only con so far, is it's weight; but I am not planning to move it any time soon.

The only "assembly" required was putting the handles on the drawers and popping the hanging file rods into place. This piece is large and HEAVY. It was delivered quickly on an 18-wheeler. Very protected in its box with lots of styrofoam.If I had to make a list of dislikes it would be short but would probably include the fact that the key is one of those with a black plastic casing on the handle end that folds over on tiny little plastic joints. So far it is fine but every cabinet I've had with these types of keys, the little hinges break and then you can't keep the key on a key ring anymore. Would much rather have an all metal key with a hole in it.Also, when the cabinet is locked, if you pull on the drawer it has a little give. It doesn't open but it feels like the lock isn't completely secure, I feel like a stronger person could pull it hard enough to break it. They would have to be pretty intent on getting in there though and nobody cares about my files that much. I just have to have them locked for compliance.

The file cabinets function very well and have provided much needed space for files, office supplies and additional work space. These are not real wood but look very nice. They came fully assembled, I only needed to add the file rails. It comes with 2 long and 2 short rails so you can choose to have your files face front or to the side. The only problem with the rails, if you want all your drawers files going the same direction you will need to purchase additional rails, either two more long or two more short.

I got the cabinet for 230 and change so my value is a little better than it's currently priced. However, after having received the unit and inspected it, I would still pay the current 279 asking price. It was already assembled and done well. It was packed very well for shipping. I have not yet put the filing racks in but the overall quality and sturdiness of the cabinet itself was quite surprising to me (esp. at the $230 price) and I have no doubts that the metal racks will do their job sufficiently in holding the files and folders. One drawer has been dedicated to home office supplies and is plenty large enough to fulfill that task with room to spare. Holding envelopes, 3-hole punch, pens/pencils, etc. I think the Mahogany could be better described as a dark cherry finish as it matches our two dark cherry desks very well. I would absolutely recommend this cabinet to friends and family that were in the market and I WILL be looking at what else this brand offers.

I bought two of these for work where, for compliance, we have to have hard copies of certain files. I needed a solid, sturdy file cabinet that locked. I returned the first one from another vendor because of the poor quality. I am very happy with this cabinet...it is solid, well built and looks professional. However, there is a gouge right in the front where it looks like they tried to use a black marker to cover it and they shipped it like that...full price! At least if it had been damaged, I would have appreciated the discount or an opportunity for one. Bad business!
