Working on my 2nd Gen Prius, I needed a tool to pry down on the control arm to make a cake walk for lower ball joint replacements and front drive axle partial removal from the wheel hub assembly. Well, the options were a chain, rope, or a long pry bar and plenty of arm strength. I was not much interested in breaking my back for DIY work so went ahead and got this set of 2. Only used 1 for the entire job but having 2 makes for an extra backup if I misplace or lose one in the future. Was able to slap the hook on the control arm, and using a 3/8 36" breakerbar ratchet, had just enough leverage to go through the loop of the hook and pull down creating a see saw leverage scenario. Pushing down on the end of the breakerbar and had the lower control arm dislodged from the knuckle in seconds without any banging, smacking, or busting. Just sheer calm leverage with minimal fuss. Any kind of work involving control arm, do not take another moment and simply grab a pair.

There's not a lot to say about this product, as it's pretty simple: a thick piece of carbon steel bent into a shape that let's you have an easier time pulling your control arm free. I don't know that two of them are necessary, but the price for the two together is barely more than others that are only a one-pack. You can have an extra around just in case one gets lost or you need to loan it out to a friend.
