Note: Please pay attention to protect the transmission cooler when installing, because it is made of aluminum, you may damage it inadvertently
About Installation
- It is important to figure out how much space you have to mount it.
- Based on its size, the most common area to install the cooler is in front of the radiator. This will provide the most air flow while driving, which will keep temps low.
- Most trucks and SUVs have supports that hold the hood latch or stock trans cooler in place. This would be the perfect place to mount the cooler.

I had this cooler fail on me some months after installation first it was the cheap hoses that pierced and started leaking, I replaced those and then the cooler itself cracked from a side and started leaking all the fluid out some months after, I had to call the tow truck to take my car back home, not a good quality product.

Had crazy transmission temps so decided for a separate cooler since the one in the radiator wasn’t cutting it. After installation there was like a 30 degreeDifference. Which is awesome. Yes it will still climb up in temp but that’s really just when I’m beating on the car .

Cooler is great. The hose on the other hand is garbage ruptured twice in a hour of driving.... would highly recommend not using the hose

Be real, if your here its because the other brand is outpriced. This cooler is actually solid built, comes with all bells and whistles and is easy to install, at least it was for me.

I had my transmission guy install this for me. He said it was a bitch on 2012 suburban. It dis drop the transmission temperature by almost 20 degreesF while pulling the camper.

I had just replaced the transmission in my 08 Tahoe with a remanufactured transmission. Flushed cooler, and trans temp were climbing in the 200degrees. Once it went to 230 and had to shut it down. Didn't noticed any failure just noticed on the dash the temps. Installed this product, and now trans temp do not go over 140 normal driving, during the middle of the day, and no more than 160 with spirited driving. Wish I would have installed this before the transmission went out but for sure not going to have another failure with this installed. Recommend to get longer transmission hose as what is provided is not long enough when you center the cooler behind the front grill. Other than that, easy install and fittings worked great.
