I had a 8.5x11 item that I wanted to frame. This does the job for that BUT the opening is 8.5x11 without any way to hold such item straight and level within the opening. There is matting that surrounds it. So if you want to put something inside, you have to adjust perfectly (with tape or ???) on the backside, then put it and the matting in the frame. The quality is nice, coloring is deep and rich color. Overall a nice piece, just takes some work to get an item perfectly straight unless it's as large as the frame.

Read the reviews and decided to take the chance and order this frame. Very happy with it! It has a high quality mat and it looks nice. I picked the cherry colored wood and I like it. The mat fits for large size diploma like we needed. Plan to order another one.

One of my school colors is maroon, so I went with the cherry wood frame. I was a little worried it might read too fakey-cherry like some red woods do, but it's beautiful. Nice deep cherry wood color. The mat boards add so much and the diploma sits in its spot perfectly snug and flat. no ripples.It hangs easily on the wall, nice and straight. Came packaged very securely protected. It would also make a good gift. (Sometimes the packaging is a little too "amazony" for me to want to gift it but this one looks nice!)
