I purchased one just like this years ago in a shop in Lancaster County, PA. A few weeks ago, it broke and I was devastated. But to my surprise, the label was still attached to the bottom leg and when I searched it online, I found this one. It's exactly like the one I have and is being put to good use for clothing that I don't put in the dryer and don't want to hang outside on a line. It is well made and very sturdy.

So far the best clothes rack (and most durable) we have tried. It "seemed" a little flimsy at first blush, but upon use it's actually very durably built.

I first bought a Madison Mills rack in 2000. I easily hung all the laundry for a household of 2 on it, when we had a washer but no dryer. Eventually, we moved cross-country and I had to leave my drying rack behind, after 12 years of faithful service. When we moved, I bought one more, and loved it. Now, I have a big front-load washer, so I got these 2, to help with the extra capacity. These are STURDY racks! As I stated before -- one of them was still going strong after 12 years. These new ones are no different. I have NEVER had a problem with the amount of weight they can hold. The layout is sheer genius, giving incredible drying-space in a compact area. There's a bit of an art to learning to arrange your clothes on it for maximum efficiency, but much of that will depend on the particular clothing and sizes in your household. These particular racks have a horizontal layer near the top, if there's something you want to dry flat, rather than hang. Or, you can use it for just extra "line-space" for small items.I have a large-capacity washer, and no dryer -- these racks handle it all for me, without the heat-damage to my clothes (or the COST of running a dryer!)
