I bought this to make screens in our front motorhome windows for ventilation. I was initially disappointed with how thin it was. Not as thick as a penny 1/16". I was so excited to try them out, I tried it anyway. I cut a square inch , then in 1/2 and used it on the bottom of a cabinet the doesn't stay closed. It held the cabinet closed as long as I held it closed for a few seconds. within 2 days, the glue was not sticking to the cabinet, the magnets fell off and were barely sticking together. I already cut an inch, so I can't return and it certainly won't hold through screen mesh. What a waste.50ft. MY ADVICE, buy a small portion to see how it performs.

It does what’s supposed to do. I only got surprised that it just took simple scissors to cut it

This is as advertised, and it does a good job. Very strong for its size.

Easy to apply and customize per project, however, it seems to be lifting up (at either end of strip) after using for 1 month. Hoping this issue resolves, as I'm using to seal drafts around fireplace when not in use.

Update: I kind of expected this to happen, the fabric magnet mount adhesive has lost its adhesion and now I will need to use 3m pro adhesive spray to reattach the strips that have come loose. The magnets have stayed together but the pieces pulled away from the fabric. This probably wouldn’t be an issue for most people who buy professionally made drapes but in my case I custom made my drapes so the measurements are a little off and cause too much tension when closing.I bought this after reading that someone else had used it on their drapes. I used them for making my own Warm window insulated drapes. For anyone else looking to use this to sew inside of drapes please be aware that these aren’t strong enough to bond when placed between the lightest of cotton weave. I do not recommend it unless it has direct surface magnetic contact. I used it to seal the perimeter of my warm window drapes. I used painters tape to place directly onto the wood and then put up the magnet directly on top of the tape to protect the woodwork. It cut easily and was easily to handle and work with. I placed the curtain magnet on top of the wall mounted magnet and removed the backing before pressing the adhesive side directly to my drapes in 54” lengths. I did notice that the magnet repels it’s self when placed in parallel and therefore needs to be inverted (turned upside down).

I had a very basic use for this: to section off a magnetic blackboard into easily identifiable sections for my school-mandated "lesson plan chalkboard." (The idea is to be more transparent with students so they know what they'll be doing and what the point is. In reality, at least 98% of them ignore it entirely.) Most teachers in my school are using painter's tape, but I have found that leaves a residue after being on the board for a year. So I went with this roll of magnetic tape and covered the exposed side with a 1-inch wide ribbon. This works extremely well. I found the adhesive on the magnet to hold very well. I had to be very careful when gluing the ribbon, for the adhesive bonded almost immediately with moderate pressure. The magnet itself stays beautifully on the chalkboard and actually takes some doing to peel off. (I find I have to get a corner to release first, and then I can peel off the strip without a problem. It definitely has more magnetic strength than I thought it would, and almost too much for this application.

I'm using this to make a name chart where a name is on a magnet and then can be rearranged on the chart. The chart board is a piece of sheet metal.First, this is a lot of magnet for the price. But for what I'm doing it turned out I needed quite a bit so I'm glad I purchased this.Second, it cuts easily with scissors. I'm cutting it into about 2 inch lengths.Third, the sticky part works good. It's easy to get hold of the backing paper to remove it and the glue is very strong. I'm sticking small pieces of card stock and you have to get the alignment correct on the first try because you can't peel it off and reposition it.Fourth, the magnet holds tight. For my use I just need the magnet to hold itself up and it's directly on a sheer of steel. There's no way they're falling off. With some effort I can move them around. Actually, a little less grip for my application would be good but I would rather them be a little too strong instead of falling off. If you have another application where you're using them to hold up something they may not be strong enough.

Satisfied purchase. It has a lot of product and adhesive side is pretty good to hold on (even on fabrics). Also magnetic part works very well to stick on. Before i purchase this, i spent twenty dollar for the magnetic tape roll at Home Depot but it had less product with bad quality.. which end up made me purchse this at amazon because i had to throw away that)
