Encased in the magnetic housing is a Piezo pickup with frequency response of 40 Hz - 12 kHz. This pickup is equipped with an integrated volume control dial located on the cable to control the volume while playing. Cable specs—high-quality quarter-inch jack with 8 foot long cable. I was initially hesitant about the SONIC ENERGY pickup, having read mixed reviews. However, the appealing price (especially compared to the significantly more expensive H1 handpan pickup I also tested) led me to give it a try. I'm glad I did!My testing focused on sound quality, noise levels, and overall performance. Surprisingly, the SONIC ENERGY pickup outperformed the H1. While the sound quality of both pickups was comparable, the SONIC ENERGY's built-in volume control proved invaluable. When playing my tongue drum, the SONIC ENERGY's increased volume allowed me to clearly hear each note, effectively leveling the drum's vibrations. Crucially, both pickups were impressively noise-free.Despite the H1's reputation as a high-quality handpan pickup, and its premium price (three times higher than the SONIC ENERGY), the SONIC ENERGY emerged as the clear winner in terms of overall performance. The added volume control and comparable sound quality make it an exceptional value. I'm thrilled with the SONIC ENERGY pickup so far, and I hope it continues to perform this well over time. Oh yeah, by the way I’m not getting paid for this review.

Good sound quality, the magnet is strong and makes good contact with my handpan, decent length of lead. Does the job very well.

Rückdeckel ist abgefallen. Direkt nach dem auspacken. Versuche es zu kleben. Mehr als einen Stern kann ich aber für sowas nicht geben.

Considering how touchy the sound is with these type of pickups, the cord has next to no insulation and then like idiots the cut the crappy cord in half to put in an even cheaper poorly spliced,zero insulated volume know that's literally pointless except to create nonstop line noise ntm co.pletly cutting out 98% of the time. Yea brilliant idea to have a 1/4 inch jack attached to a wire that is so thin must've come form 1980

This thing sounds like trash on my handpan. For $70 you'd expect something at least midway decent. Obviously you can't except to use a pickup mic for studio recordings, but you'd at least want it to soung good enough to amplify thru some PAs in a crowded loud space. I don't think you could slap on enough EQs and FX to make this sound decent enough

Der Klang ist gut, die Magnethaftung ausreichend, der Sonic Energy ist sehr leicht. Die Haftfläche ist gepolstert, somit entstehen keine Kratzer. Über einen Volumepoti hat man die möglichkeit die Lautsärke zu regeln.

Leider ist der Magnet etwas zu schwach, muss man aufpassen, ev einen kleinen Magneten mit anheften das geht auch. Einige Stellen durchprobieren bis der beste Platz gefunden ist. Top ist das es eine Lautstärke Regelung gibt
