These only lasted one season but they do the job! We filled ours with sand and pea gravel, topped off with water once inside the steps, before filling the pool.

Plastic should be a bit heavier because once sand gets put into it the handles break

Read multiple reviews on the sturdiness of this item and opted to fill with peace gravel instead of sand just in case they did rupture at the lower corners to make for aand easier clean up. Worked like a charm. Bought 2 50lb pea gravel bags and filled about 48lbs in each then pushed out the air and sealed. Did not use handle to lift just in case it may have been too heavy for the handles, I lifted from bottom and placed on step platform. And boom, steps sank and settled and they haven't moved. Will buy again if needed.

Container as expected. It comes with a handle, but it is so flimsy, we carried it under the bottom Because we thought the handle would break if we used it

Like several others we are disappointed in the quality of product against its claims. The handles are flimsy. We had two of these behind our pool drop-in steps. Tied to the stair rails. within a month the handles literally snapped apart and there was our sand jugs rolling around. Adding sand to the jug is tricky because the handle doesn't offer much support to 50lb sand. Id like to have this product designed with an existing indentation in order to manipulate to and in the pool at set up; easier to handle than a 50lb block. Will try a different product this summer.

I don't normally write reviews but I had to warn others that this product is crap. I purchased 2 of this product in 2017 hoping to get at least a year out of them. I needed them to weigh the pool steps down. They cracked during the summer and the sand was full of algae because the water go in thorough the cracks. They broke even more as we took them out. I was reminded of this when I took them out of storage this week to use the sand for another purpose. The plastic shattered literally broke of with the slightest touch. I purchased 2 large Drink containers that have lasted 2x as long and cost 1/2 the price. Do not purchase this product.
