The item is nearly identical to the OEM ignition. Lesser quality shows in a few places, but the low price makes this a no-brainer. The panel plate does align with existing screw holes, but switching the OEM plate to this switch is easy

I replaced the key/kill switch on a 1999 Yamaha 200 HP outboard on my 22 ft. Blue Wave boat. The switch worked fine, but the cover plate was slightly larger so that the original four screw holes did not line up. Solved the problem by removing the cover plate from the original key/kill switch by unscrewing the plastic ring nuts and replacing the new cover plate with the old cover plate.

Plug and play as far as wiring. Needed to drill new holes as the new plate didn't line up with those from my original ignition plate, but that's just splitting hairs. Good product.

Plug and play. My key was malfunctioning. I will be full throttle and get a 1 second shut down . That resolved the problem and all the cables matched

Our old ignition for an unknown reason decided to get down and get melty like grilled cheese. Surprisingly you can get them online, so here I was. It works great, I did have to do some cable splicing and Wago 221 engineering but overall it was pretty easy. You may not need to modify any wires at all, ours had a melted and a weird connector so I did, but the main harness plug fit right in. Only other criticism is the new faceplate is smaller than the original, mostly vertically, so the bottom 2 screws don’t line up with the original holes. You’d have to be trying to see them and notice that though, so I honestly don’t care that much, Overall good value and great this was available.

Worked good, plug n play. The board switches were connected to were not same size, unscrew them and put them in your original and all is good. Worked fine.
