This chain hoist is a great option for the price. After putting it to the test several times in my garage and wood shop, I've come to rely on it quite a lot. I did not realize how badly I needed one! The chain is sturdy and as long as you keep it out of the weather, it should last a long time. If you're a serious professional, I'm not sure how reliable this hoist will be. I have seen no evidence of failure or wear and tear, but I'm not certain I will test its limits too much, just for safety's sake. It's easy to use and has made heavy lifting chores a breeze. Would absolutely suggest it to anyone looking for a safe chain hoist for occasional use.
