It’s cute but sadly I need to go out to a store and find a real plunger because this one doesn’t unclog the toilet.

I have another plunger with this design and it is great. This one, not so much. When I pump the plunger down, air comes hissing through the seams. I can’t get any pressure to clear the toilet. I have to run upstairs and grab the other plunger to clear the blockage. This one is just ineffective

The plastic base is thinner and not as sturdy as ones I've had before but it did the job!!! Love that it comes with a holder and would highly recommend esp for the price!

Better than the standard plunger. No need to go into the details on use, but it worked with no splash back that's typical of the regular plungers. Clean-up is a bit tricky, with the ridges - but a second flush fixes that. :-)

This is definitely the master of plungers. Looks like an alien but works well and easily. It's very lightweight and felt like it was going to snap in my hands when using it though. I would prefer a non-plastic handle.

Second update after nearly 2 years -still holds up and works as close to new as a 2-year-old plunger can get (used at least 2x month because my apt. plumbing sucks). I'm sure it doesn't smell like daisies if you try to sniff it like a blood hound would, but I can confirm that it doesn't smell bad at all even from a few inches away (provided you do clean it after using). Highly recommend.Update after 5+ months -I changed to 5 stars because it's holding up very well (like new) after 10-12 uses. My main worry is that it would smell over time, but so far so good. Also, it ALWAYS WORKS if you do it right. Read below.I saw the pictures and the size dimensions but was still surprised by how tall and big this plastic thing is next to my toilet -that is a big minus. However, this thing does work... so... do you need to look cool/classy or do you need to unclog your toilet with little effort? Also, ppl said it doesn't work. Yes, I thought that as well when I tested it out on arrival in a clean, unclogged toilet; nothing happened... no suction; if that is what the other reviewers were doing, they are getting it wrong. Two days later, I was able to test it out when I clogged the toilet -what can I say. I thought, do I want to even use this thing but, alright, I have no choice. So, I tried and nothing worked. Then, I remembered I need to follow instructions. FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS! I placed over the hole in the toilet and pressed it until the accordion part was mostly collapsed then turned the handle a quarter turn or so left and then all the way right -this created the suction. It plunged with relatively little splashing. I've since used it many times and it works every time -never takes more than one or two attempts of 3-4 rapid plunging motions to eliminate the entire clog. You don't need to be super strong to use this either, so most people could do it and with less energy than a plunger. It's never taken me more than 20-30 seconds of effort and another 1-2 minutes of cleaning/disinfecting. I imagine you can even get rid of a stubborn clog in under 2 minutes. As for cleaning, you can take it apart and it's wide enough to be able to clean everything easily with soapy water or disinfectant in your sink or shower. You can also be lazy and just plunge it into clean toilet bowl water with a little disinfectant -depends on how dirty you got it but this is too cumbersome to store under the sink... if you are going to do that, you'll need to clean and disinfect it thoroughly. I was worried that the plastic would retain odors but it hasn't so far. I keep mine in it's little stand beside the toilet, because I use it at least twice a month, sometimes even twice a week. Yay fiber!

I like the way this plunger works. It is a nice color (plum) too. I especially like the holder it comes with. I use a paper towel in the holder to catch any water dripping in it and change the paper towel whenever I use it. It really works good.

I hate to say it, but my toilet requires a plunger on a fairly regular basis. I've tried the old fashioned kind, the OXO type and several others. There are no other plungers that compare to the Master Plunger line. They are a simple piece of cheap plastic, but they work like they were designed by engineers at NASA (and I mean that in a good way). The concept is simple. The accordian design sucks massive amounts of water into the plunger and then pressing down releases it. It unclogs any mess I have seen in one plunge. After the toilet is flushed, I plunge it a couple more times to clean out the inside. The reason I like this model is that it comes with a handy stand. The master plunger can be placed right in the stand after use and will drip dry. I can't say it is the most aesthetically pleasing item in my bathroom, but when it works this well, I don't mind. If you're looking for an effective plunger, I highly recommend the Master Plunger.
