Quality of this membrane is not as good! I rolled down this on my bathroom floor and stepped on it and it collapsed, I wasn’t sure if it will holds the weight of my 270lb vanity even after pouring concrete and putting vinyl flooring on it! The project was delayed, I missed the day of returning it, but I was so upset I still contacted the Amazon customer service and explained my problem and they let me return it! Five stars to service!!! One star for product!

I wanted a heated floor bathroom specifically - cold winters and a cold floor when getting out of the tub or getting out of bed and walking into the bathroom in the night...makes me shiver just to think about it! I am in the middle of renovations and the bathroom is on the list, but not yet done; however, I do know that this membrane is what I need for the heating cables so the job should go quickly once we get to that project,

This uncoupling mat is an essential building block when installing tile over most surfaces. Whether it's a wood or cement subfloor, this mat will keep your tile secure and solid for a lifetime. This particular uncoupling mat allows for the addition of electric heat coil to keep your feet cozy. Installation is relatively straight forward, pick the correct mud to set the mat on the subfloor, place the mat and get it pressed into the mud, route heating coil through the mat, and then mud and set your tile, it looks more difficult than it really is. The mat will keep your tiles and grout stabilized and free from cracking due to subfloor cracks, expansion and contracting, or shifting. I'm impressed with the performance of these mats, even when installed on a wood subfloor that has very slight deflection, the tile will stay solid and crack free. Trust the engineering with this underlay mat, there are years of research that have proven uncoupling mats work well.

This is an incredibly simple way to add underfloor heating to a tile floor. Just roll out the material, fasten it down, lay the heating wires into the grid at the appropriate spacing; and then install your tile as you would normally. When you’re done, you have an incredible heated floor with almost no extra effort. The membrane is tough but resilient; and will help make the floor into an efficient heating source. No more frozen toes just getting to the bathroom.
