Although this bag wasn't cheap it is very well made. I got tired of lugging around my 5.11 Moab 6 bag and realized it was time to pare down what I "needed" with me on a daily basis. This bag fit the bill. The pockets are well made and there are enough for my small items...charging cords, an extra flashlight or two with spare batteries, reading/sunglasses, etc. Great edc bag.

Quality bag, could use a water bottle pouch, and a longer shoulder strap. Overall all a good purchase for carrying personal daily items

I needed a shoulder bag to carry my daily essentials: medication, cell phone, AM/FM/SW portable radio, wallet, corporate badge, flashlight, and keys. Messenger-style bags were not considered, as the flap impedes access to the main pouch.I've used the Spec Ops Rat Pack for many years. It is a great bag with a a few features that the Neatfreak lacks. That said, the Neatfreak is a little bit larger, and a significantly stiffer. This makes it more suitable for my daily carry. After, removing the center divider, everything that was in the Rat Pack fit into the Neetfreak, with additional room for my medications; effectively eliminating the medical push that was stored in my backpack. This is a big deal, for me, as it allows me to keep all my essentials with me, in cases when I cannot return to my desk. (Say, do to a fire.)Pros(1) The stiffness / "bulkiness" makes the Neatfreak a better should bang, than the Rat Pack IMHO (The Rat Pack is a much better in-pocket (backpack) organizer than the Neatfreek.)(2) The Molly webbing on the outer flap pocket is not esthetically pleasing, but the pocket itself is quite useful for quick access to small items. I find that when the Neatfreak is fully packed, the front mesh pocket is not very useful. (This was not true with the Rat Pack.)(3) I didn't think i would like the interior pockets w/hook-and-loop closure. It turns out that these pockets made it possible to include my medical supplies. The pockets are small, but big enough eye drops, needle clippers, env. The hook-and-loop ensures that those small items stay in place. YMMV.(4) The slightly wider profile makes it possible to store an iPhone plus phone horizontally. Meaning it can store more things easily.Cons(1) The belt loop, on the back, impedes access to the rear stash pocket. Also, due to the stiffness of the bag, the belt loop doesn't seem that effective.(2) Maxpedition should use a lighter color for the interior, for low light situations. The grey color is O,K., but orange (Rat Pack), yellow, or even white would be better, IMO,ConclusionI like this bag, and would buy it again. It should serve my needs well. As for my Rat Pack, it has already been repurposed.

If it is Maxpedition, you know it will be a quality piece. This organizer, which I would refer to as more like an oversized admin pouch, can fit absolutely every little thing from every pocket or packet that you have spread around the clothes you wear or the stuff that is always bouncing around and slipping out of reach. If you want to take the weight out of your pockets and packets and get everything you need for EDC moving through the world into one place, with the addition of a solid strap that you can wear over the shoulder or cross-body, this organizer will do it. Even when it is packed to the gills, the height and width is still large enough to handily hold and conceal some of the larger, heavier tools of the trade we may otherwise strap to our belt. It really does look simple from the outside, but this organizer is simply able to do anything you ask of it.

When I found I was regularly putting essential carry items in a carrier bag, or taking a jacket out with me just for the pocket space, I realised I had a gap in my gear list.Maxpedition have provided a shoulder slung kit bag with sufficient pocket and storage options to suit the most eclectic carry needs. In tough black cordura, the bag looks sufficiently rugged to calm the sensibilities of any chap needing to use it.As well as a good selection of internal pouches and securable pockets, the exterior has a secure zipped flap pocket and a mesh covered secure pouch I find ideal to carry my phone so it can easily be heard. Inside a removable load divider either gives extra pockets or tears out for larger general carry space. I can carry an iPad mini and kindle Paperwhite (both in protective cases) with no difficulty at all, alongside my EDC items and multi tool.As with all Maxpedition equipment, carry options abound - adjustable shoulder strap, top or side carry handles, back belt loops and a means to secure to larger bags or a tent pole (?).Plenty of external Velcro and kit loops mean extra personalisation is catered for.To sum up the Neatfreak lets you keep and carry all your kit in one neat and durable package, with the versatility to meet almost any everyday carry need.I am delighted with mine.If you are even thinking something liked this just might be handy, GET THIS; you will not be disappointed.

I think the Maxpedition guys might've been drinking too much coffee when they drew this bag up. As others have noted, there are lots of pockets for things...but many of them are just too small ! Here are the mods I made to turn it into a tough-looking purse/ outdoors gear bag or possibly a range bag.1. Lose the inside divider...or at least put it away somewhere. Makes for more inside room, as others have noted.2. I took off ALL of the tacticool stuff on the back (Molle strapping etc). If you load this thing up, it's going to be too heavy (IMO) to want to wear on a belt. This mod also makes the back pocket more useful, again IMO.3. The front zipper-flap has this gawdawful velcro patch under the strapping. I don't know what that's supposed to be for. Being handy with a needle, thread and seam ripper, I removed this and then re-attached the molle. This mod I wouldn't attempt if you're not a hand-sewing-type person, but it does make the front flap a little less stiff and cumbersome.4. I cut the velcro straps inside the bag back so they cover only the top two of the small pockets. Stuff in the bottom ones aren't likely to get jarred loose, and if it does the stuff will land in the bottom of the bag.For usefulness it gets three stars. For being Maxpedition tough and in a basically useful form factor it gets another star.

Our son is 12 years old and was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes this last year. It's not very cool for a teenage boy to carry a bag from class to class or to sports, but this one looks cool and serves it's purpose. He loves all the little pockets for extra test strips and needles and the velcro straps keep everything locked in it's place. There are larger pockets for insulin pens, glucose tablets, granola bars, fruit snacks and all the "supplies" he must carry with him at all times. The divider is great to keep the two sides seperate and there are lots of add-ons that can be purchased to expand the space. From a mom's point of view it's well made and the zippers and materials are meant to last. Youtube was a great help in viewing customer's reviews and uses and helped us realize this was the bag for him. It fits our needs and we are very satisfied with the seller and the purchase.
