Fifteen years ago, MBRP started in the exhaust business by introducing the B&B Eliminator, a silencer that quickly became the best-selling snow machine muffler of all time. Exhaust system technology being as universal as it is, they soon branched off into cars, Jeeps, and diesel trucks, with amazing success. One of their secrets has been the practice of making as many universal-fit kits as possible. A couple of extra parts in the box means that a single kit might fit a number of different wheelbase pickup trucks, for instance. Reducing complexity in ordering is better for them, better for their distributors, and a great benefit for their customers, who are more likely to be able to find a kit that fits their vehicle on hand. In addition, they go to great lengths to make sure their systems fit properly every time. Careful attention to design and fabrication delivers a system that doesn't need customization with a hammer to fit properly before the car or truck comes off the lift. 6.7 Cummins, 5” straight pipe. I love the spund of the straight pipe, but after a few years it wore on me. This muffler still gives you a good sound outside the truck while making conversation possible in the cab at those certain RPM’s. Recommend

I have a 2006 6.0 powerstroke with a 5 inch exhaust. I'm trying to find a muffler that will quite down the drone but this one does not. I really cannot hear any difference in the exhaust after installing this muffler. It appears to be well made but I'm not sure what good it is. May make a difference on a different engine but if you have a 6.0 powerstroke you might want to keep looking.

Pretty nice and muffler. I own the MBRP 5 inch straight pipe system. I bought the system without the muffler. It’s an awesome sound but at about 70 mph (+- 5), the drone noise was brutal. The muffler dampened that down significantly…. kept the sound but lowered it About 8 dB. Very happy with the purchase. Both ends of the muffler are 5” ID… meaning it will slip on to regular pipe extensions with 5”OD.Muffler is directional… make sure the opened louvers inside the muffler point towards the bumper… you should be able to read “MBRP” on the passenger side, the correct way.Installation time was 15 minutes.Have fun 👍

Skeptical if this is a knock off MBRP being as the logo bold letters not the slanted logo like on the exhaust tips.Regardless of this, anything over 2000 RPM or any RPM towing 20,000lbs with my straight pipe was absolutely terrible, this muffler has completely tamed the awful drone.Note for the inlet/outlet it’s not directionally defined so I looked it up, the inlet is the side you look down and it’s the smooth Louvred side, the outlet when looking into it you can see the holes of the louvres.

So I bought this for my 5.9 Cummins 5 inch exhaust pipe. To mostly try to get rid of the drone. It was also little to loud for me after awhile haha. I wish I had an on/off switch I could use for my exhaust. But when I bought this Muffler I was pleased with it. Although she is still loud. And all the drone inside is not gone it helped alot. If I had it to do all over again I would have went with a 4" exhaust. So if your asking me does it help... yes but not to the point I wanted it to. If anyone reads this and know something else I can do. Please let me know somehow. I'd give it a 7 out 10.

Put it on my 95 pete with a 60 series Detroit and love the sound ! Had a Pittsburgh power muffler before and this definitely trumps it.

I was surprised with this muffler. I had my 2011 F250 deleted and strait piped. It was way too loud for me and the drone was annoying. This muffler seems well built, heavy and looks good. You can see right through it so I was skeptical whether it would really do anything. I wanted to keep the turbo whistle and exhaust tone, but just quiet it down a bit and the drone sound from inside the cabin. I relied on the reviews here and installed it. I love it. Great price. The truck is still a little loud and sounds throaty. It is a tad quieter and sounds great compared to a sloppy sounding strait pipe. It sounds like a truck and not obnoxious like the strait pipe. There is still a little drone in the cab but not bad at all. Overall, I'm very happy.

Just installed, fits perfect and eliminates the droning sound of the muffler delete pipe the previous owner installed. Just don't understand why it is flared at both ends. Had to make a splice to fit the rear of the pipe.
