Bag is absolutely not waterproof or even water resistant ran under sink with paper to trst and it got soaked. I needed it to be waterproof for my application so will not work for that. Good for a cheap ditty bag or coin pouch I guess. Like many things off Amazon I guess you get the Chinese product you pay for.

I use 3x5 cards as "flash cards" to help me study Japanese. I will soon be traveling there and wanted a flat and small bag to hold them together in my purse. Unfortunately, these do not work for two reasons:1. The zipper on top doesn't open wide enough.2. Although the external dimension is shown as 5.3" there are seams on the inside (about 1/4" on both sides) that reduce the width that the bag will hold by about 1/2". Sigh.I will keep and use them by trimming my cards a little. By doing that I think they will be okay for my use.Update: I am using the smaller version for smaller index cards I found on Amazon. In general these little bags are helpful in many ways. When I travel I organize my stuff into bags, and these work very well for keeping track of foreign currency, pills, you name it. Since they are somewhat transparent it’s easy to identify what’s inside.

I nest zip bags within zip bags in my purses and cosmetic cases; these are just great for the smallest items, like band-aids, tiny scissors, matchbooks, nail clippers, all those little things you want to organize rather than having them rattle around a larger bag. I’d actually like to get a set with colored zippers but where the pouches are clear instead of color tinted, but these are still transparent enough to work well! Each one lasts me years; with enough use, eventually holes wear in them but they are great for a long time.
