Using this on a Nikon Z8 with a Sony 200-600 lens. The adapter came with the software updated already, but you can not find this out until after you connect it to the camera. It was recommended from someone to connect the adapter to the camera first and then put the lens on which is what I did. Went on without any issues, and functions perfectly. I am very happy with the results. The auto focus, and F stops recognized by the camera and the pictures came out clear. Saved money to not have to buy a new lens

It works!No need to change glass.I've purchased a Zf and using my sony and tamron lenses.The thinness of the adapter helps in no change from lens feeling and operation.

I was skeptical that it would work as advertised. I was totally wrong. I have used the unit on my Nikon z8 and z6II. It allowed me to use my Sony lens perfectly on the Nikons. It even worked perfectly with my Sigma lens on my Nikon including the new 70-200. It’s very easy to update the firmaware. The picture showed it with a usb cable but they have upgraded the unit and it updates through the camera update option. Would definite purchase again without hesitation.

Do you like your Zf? Do you like aperture rings? Sony has aperture rings. Sony has small, retro inspired lenses. So does Sigma. They work flawlessly on this. I've even done all the stuff they tell you not to (change lenses without turning the camera off), and it just works. Thank you Todd Howard, Patron Saint of Things that Just Work.

Cuando lo recibi le note problemas con el enfoque, lo actualize y el problema continuo. Especialmente con el zeiss 35mm f1.4, perdia el contacto con la camara y por lo tanto los parametros y el enfoque. Compre el neewer y sin problema y mas barato. Ni modo, quise darle una oportunidad a megadap.

Gosh, this Megadap adapter is so thin no one would even notice it on my Zf unless looking for it. Easy to mount and easy to remove, all metal, and feels substantial.Compatibility with my Sony lenses is wonderful so far. Unlike what I had read about Viltrox support not yet there, it is, and that's great since I have two. Tamron, and Sigma lenses are just nearly as quick adapted on the Nikon as they are on the native Sony, as are Sony's own. The e-mount Samyang 35-150 is particularly impressive with performance that matches that on my Sony. If there's any features not supported I haven't noticed them yet. It's shocking that a lens made for a Sony can lock focus just as fast and just as reliably on my Nikon by using this adapter.Long e-mount tele's, for example those going to 500mm, are the one lens type that is less than stellar, at least on the Zf. Focus has not been reliable, but that's the only instance I've discovered so far. For serious wildlife guys I would not yet recommend it for that reason. For everyone one else it's a hard YES, just get it.Outside of long glass this adapter has delivered the performance of Sony lenses much like native Nikon Z lenses. For me as a raw shooter, It's the real deal, opening up a huge library of e-mount lenses to Nikon Z owners.I mention raw since the one thing an adapter cannot do is account for lens corrections done in-body.I've not seen anything I wouldn't normally take care of after importing to LR or whatever anyway, but there are things our cameras do to make up for lens flaws, so just be aware of it.As a Sony and Nikon owner, it's a total no-brainer to get this Megadap. Not having to duplicate lenses for both platforms or force me to sell one system at a loss just to afford to dabble in another saves me a ton of cash.So you're Nikon Z owner jealous over the huge library of Sony mirrorless lenses? Just get this, problem solved.

I have been shooting with Sony for many years, coming from Nikon D610. I changed to Sony but I always missed that natural look of Nikon, I love the vintage look of the Zf and purchased this adapter based on customer experiences. This adapter works great, focus is almost as native, if you have fast AF lenses, they will remain fast, slow AF lenses will reman slow. I am able to use all my lenses for Sony. I use Sony 20-70 f/4 G, 90mm G macro, 200-600G, Viltrox 16mm 1.8 works as it were mounted in my A7IV, Tamron 70-180 G1 is a slow lens in low light and it remains the same wit the adaptaer.I save a lot of money and I do not requiere to purchased the same focals for Nikon and can use both systems.

Okay it works but it does hunt on AF. The machining finishes needs a little bit more … it does feel notchy to install and deinstall from the camera mount. Not smooth to disconnect the lens from it.

used it to get my APS-C mount lenses working with my Z5, lens fitment was good, AF works, Aperture is adjustable. All in all saved me alot of money on z-mount lenses.Notes, when shooting at high focal ranges 150mm+ turn on AF-C, if you use single autofocus the camera does a lot of hunting before taking the picture and can lose it easily.Does not work in tandem with other adaptors. I have a Canon Lens with an AF e-mount adapter, putting that, lens + adaptor, on this adaptor does not work. So you should get a specific Canon to Z-mount adaptor if your in the same boat.

Love the versatility, being able to share lenses between cameras, or broaden your selection when buying more for Nikon Z. Super thin. I'd like to see the digits come down a little in the damage department, but other than that, it's a Win 👍
