These are nice shorts, about what you're expecting. They feel like cotton (though they're actually 65% polyester). Two side pockets, each big enough to fit a phone. They're moderate in length, maybe halfway down to your knees, so neither too long nor too short. Made well and sized right.

I have a 34" waist so ordered the medium and wish I would have ordered the large. The shorts have a good length, have good feel, and have good-sized pockets (no zipper or other closure though, so be careful with keys and phones), but the fit is a little snug around the thighs. If you're skinny, this likely wouldn't be an issue, but I do a lot of leg exercises and these are tight on me there as well as on the waist. The drawstrings are not secured in any way, so do be sure to tie them in a knot before washing so you don't lose them.

The DITOK Men's Workout Shorts with Pockets are a little shorter than the gym shorts I'm used to wearing but are longer than your standard running shorts. I was worried that medium would be too tight, but they have a loose fit design and are just fine. The polyester/cotton blend fabric is comfortable and feels like it will last. It has drawstrings but the elastic waist band hold them in place just fine. It The two front side pockets are deep enough to hold a phone, keys, and small wallet. They came with a 2-part phone holder that while a nice touch, falls apart easily and isn't super usable. All-in-all a good buy.~ Kort

These DITOK 8.5" gym shorts have quickly become one of my top picks. The nice forest colored green is attractive on the these DITOK mens shorts - common are black and blue so getting this color allows more color versatility with different tops. I almost did not get this because one of the posting pics showed it to be more like a terry towel type material. It's not. It's smooth and the feel is amazing. The length is perfect falling just above the knees by about 2-3 inches. Nice 2" waistband but with only a ribbon type of drawstring - but it is a 1/2" thick ribbon. What I deducted a star for was for the ribbon drawstring and the fact that the string exit holes are simply cut like a button hole even though they added a single stitch of contrast color around the hole it's not very substantial. Also, the same type of contrast color stitching at the ends of the drawstring to prevent freying. I personally would have liked to see metal eyelet inserts. There are 2 side open pockets that are deep enough to hold keys, cell phones, etc. Specific details that matter to me are that they added the same type of contrast color stress point stitching at the top and bottom of the pockets as well as at the top of the outer side slits at the shorts' bottoms. The interior is almost like a waffle type look/feel so they are pretty comfy. I would conclude that these are quality, lasting shorts for just about any activity and leisure in the warmer months. For the price? Great quality and nice pricing with very nice stitching without any loose or missed/skipped threads. Recommended

The quality of these shorts is a 3 out of 5 stars in my opinion. Cotton attracts a lot of lint and the size I ordered doesn’t seem true to size. I ordered a sz M but fit like a S.

Overall, these are nicely made shorts. They are slightly thicker material and have pockets for his hands (especially if his hands are fisted). I wouldn't trust a cell phone or wallet in the pockets out of fear of them falling out when seated due to the cut and length of the pockets. I would consider the black color, a "true" black that does not have a slightly faded look like others often do. The sizing is slightly off which is why I took a star off. My son is tall for his age and slender. For reference, I got this for him in size medium, the measurements on the advertisement say that these should fit waist size 31.89-43.70 and hips size 44.49. My son is 5'9, 34" hips, 27 1/2" waist and says that although the waste of the shorts doesn't dig, it is slightly snug and not quite as comfortable as he would like. The length they put seems to be accurate but I didn't realize how short they'd be. We prefer his shorts to sit just below the knee, not above. If anyone else decides to purchase these (especially at the current sale price of $13.29 which I think is a much fairer price for these shorts), I would say to size up
