You can catch anything on these spinners, i took a trip to main and was able to catch big smallmouth, perch, and I even had a pike follow it all on the same spinner.

Mepps Aglia is the best spinner available for trout and various other fish. My go to lure for fishing in the entire western USA.

Now I'm 64 years old, but one thing hasn't changed for me since the 1960s-'70s when I was fishing as a boy and teen on Virginia's ponds, lakes, reservoirs and rivers. Back then, my motto was "Go in with a Mepps...Come out with a fish." Whether it was smallmouth or largemouth bass, bluegill or crappie. These spinners are high quality and made in France. However, it wasn't until decades later that I noticed how Mepps spinners have been rated "The World's #1 Fishing Lure." Doesn't surprise me a bit! If I only had one lure in my tackle box, it would be a Mepps #1 silver spinner. Note: I also carry #2 and #3 sizes in my box.

The Mepps Aglia Plain is a timeless addition to any fishing box. Its simple design is effective in attracting fish and the build quality is commendable. It could be a bit more vibrant, but it doesn't deter its performance. For an old-school fishing experience

I was concerned about the lure being too small, but casts well and catches Perch, Pickerel, Bass and, as advertised, trout.
