Good replacement for WL 1/12 124017 V2 however the extra pinion motor gear that it comes with is 27t tooth for this but could be used if you are able to move the motor and would increase the top speed at the expense of cogging. The whole build up of this is really a good deal and comes all assembled. It does include the upgraded metal drive gear that was previously plastic. The mesh doesn't seem to be as smooth as the plastic one. My original had the screw on the front drive gear break off in the shaft. I recommend that you Grease your diff internals if you open it up this far as ive already powdered 2 diffs on this car, the diffs are not adequate for the speed 40+mph and power of the 124017 as it was all borrowed from lower powered models

Positives: it appears to be made of steel, not the highest quality part but the finish and tolerances are acceptableNegatives: be very careful threading the grub screw and don't over tighten it

Look at the photo, see how the oot drives are not even straight? When you get them, you will need to disassemble them and use Loctite on the screws, holding the outdrives onto the devil/sun gears. But it doesn’t even matter because they will still spin loose under the talk of the vehicle.. also, the gears do not come greased. You’ll need to grease them.. no matter how much I reassemble them and glue them they would not stay together as soon as the car started rolling. Dog bones also locked up and ground inside the outdrives.. bottom line is do not buy these. They are trash and just a massive headache and you will be constantly disassembling front and rear transmission of your car.

Overall the quality of the product is pretty good. They need a better description stating to do a few things before install though. Found out pretty quickly screws were loosening. Make sure you disassemble both the Differentials and drive shaft gear and put loctite on all screws. You also need to add grease.

This worked perfect on our WLToys 124019. a little tight at first but after running it for a little while it go smoother and looser. Good to go now. This is the biggest gear available for this line of cars currently.
