Plastic has a nice weight, and for the price, these chargers are excellent value. Wash well and have held up after multiple uses.

I just received these chargers today. They are absolutely gorgeous. The shade of purple is a blue violet purple shade (not a plummy or pinkish purple). They have a pearly metallic look. So pretty. What I do for my theme table decor for dinner parties or holidays is I buy pretty paper dinner plates. For my purple themed table, Amazon had some nice white plates with a violet purple floral print cascading down the side. I put the paper plate on top of the charge (put a little piece of tape under the paper plate to tack it to the charger) and then place a clear glass dinner plate on top (you can get those at the dollar stores). Makes for such an elegant dinner plate look and can be customized to any decor theme or holiday depending what kind of paper plates you get. This way you don't have to buy ten different sets of dishes for different holidays. Just get chargers and paper plates to go with the clear dinner plates. You can also use nice printed paper napkins in between the charger and the glass plate as the design and then place another napkin next to the plate. Anyway, back to these particular purple chargers, if you are looking for a pretty, but not gaudy, purple charger plate, this is it. I looked at lots of chargers at many other party decor sites and these are the nicest.

These decorative chargers were purchased for Christmas dinner. The quality is okay except 2 of the chargers were scratched pretty deep so it is silver and not red. Not sure how to cover the damage, but the silver is very noticeable.
