This spring is advertised on Amazon as being "stainless steel". False advertising as it is not stainless steel since it is magnetic. Do not buy if you want stainless steel. Am returning it.

Most springs are made to very specific lengths, which is a pain if you need one for a project or old machine. Offering the spring in long lengths so the hobbyist can cut to length is really useful. The quality is very good.
