È l'unico kit per montare un 2 din su WJ. Materiale buono ma necessita di modifiche per installarlo oltre alla saldatura delle bocchetteTutto sommato il risultato è soddisfacente

Buy this one and not the other cheap piece of crap out there. Wasted my money of the cheaper one.

Paid good money for a product, the pictures show the Car Adapter plus the Radio antenna (took a picture of it) and that didn't come within the bag. Aside from being extremely deceiving, I was more annoyed since we had to go buy the missing parts and I spent an additional $42.50 for those 2 parts. If instead of the Bloatware info not relevant for real usage, I could have purchased, albeit, cheaper, and avoided an extra and more expensive trip.Blame me for not reading E-V-E-R-Y overwhelming bloatware detail, I am not expecting anything in return but, if this helps the next guy then ... buyer's beware.

Installing a new stereo in my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee was a breeze thanks to this dash kit. The matte black finish matched the Jeep's interior perfectly, and the included brackets and instructions made installation straightforward. While there were minor fit issues with my specific aftermarket stereo, it wasn't a huge problem. Overall, this kit is a great option for anyone looking to upgrade their Jeep's sound system at a good price point.

Hardest part of the install was removing the old vents and installing on this new frame.Otherwise, it was perfect. The supplied brackets allowed me to get my radio screen aligned perfectly on the first try!I'd highly recommend it. Matches the other black trim nearly seamlessly. We'll see how it holds up, but so far,I'm loving it.Perfect upgrade to get some newer technology in an over 20yr old vehicle.

Easy install, be aware you have to plastic weld your old vents. No big deal, im sure you knew this from youtube videos. Really glad this exists!

First off I must say thank you that Metra provides these. Being able to take a car that doesn't natively have a normal double-din setup and convert it cleanly is very nice.Jeep uses Chrysler stereos and they have an odd shape - sort of rounded edges and probably more of a 1.5 DIN. So modifying your existing trim on a WJ will be difficult to do cleanly. Also, an aftermarket stereo would not easily mount within the hole (that needs modifications behind it to fit a double din), so it would be a lot of custom work to make one fit cleanly. So it's awesome these exist!Pros:- They exist, and they work.- The outer material is actually a softer touch plastic coating, it matches well in the interior, and isn't just a bit plate of hard gross plastic.- It gives decent instructions for install- It does allow for a clean install.- It fits well - not 100% perfect but darn close (see cons)Cons:- It's entirely made of plastic. I'm concerned for longevity if you have to remove it. But once installed, it seems fine.- It does seem to take a bit of work to get it to fit perfectly clean - the top edge specifically seems to have more of a gap than I would like because the stock bezel has a push-pin holder there, that is effectively removed in order to fit the double din. So there's nothing to attach the upper piece to on the dash.- Some glue could help this, but would be permanent. It's really a nitpick because no one but me sees it, but it's one of those things where it's 98% perfect and you the installer knows it.- If the unit had a metal backing, it would probably fit better. I would cost more, but it would might be an easier an truer fit up top.- It requires some plastic welding or epoxy - You need to transfer your original vents from your OEM panel to this metra unit. you'll need to carefully grind the plastic welds off the oem one to pop the vents off. I used a die grinder and it was very easy. A dremel could do it well too. To attach the vents I used a solder gun to melt the plastic stands and effectively plastic-weld it on. You could also use plastic epoxy or any soldering iron or cheap plastic welder kit. It's easy, and more Jeep's design than Metra's issue. Once done, the piece fits and works well.- A con that is not metra's fault - The metra unit will not match the finish of all trims. Black plastic though I noted is made of a nicer material than I expected, it doesn't match what a Lardeo or Limited may have - some use silver trim, or wood grain. Not a huge deal, and it's common for these types of retrofits. You could technically wrap the metra unit in wood grain vinyl, but it's near impossible to find a WJ match without then wrapping the rest of the interior trim to match. So I left mine black and it looks good.Overall happy and a great way to upgrade your WJ to a double-din stereo.

Good buy, good price. You must do some modification to the inside where the stock radio was, that is for any Cherokee 2000-2004. Use a oscillating saw for clean cuts, and a $20 soldering iron with different tips for the plastic welds. Overall took me an hour to swap hardware put in my radio and wire my system and install it. The work is definitely worth it, I promise.

This kit works to add a double din to the Cherokee, but fit/finish is cheap and does not come with the harness needed. The radio sits back inside of the kit which makes it difficult to press buttons on the bottom edge of the radio. To get the radio out some so the buttons were easy to use, gaps were visible as the opening is tapered.
