Easiest headunit bracket I’ve ever installed took all but 5 minutes. Came with extra pieces for a different kind of install which was a plus even though I did not need it. Slid right into place and that was it couldn’t ask for a better product would order again!

this is the best single din kit for my OBS trucks. The only time i needed a different one was when I used a flip up screen radio. I needed the kit from walmart that sticks the radio out further to clear the dash but this kit looks the best and I now have a few spares for future trucks.

This worked great to install an aftermarket radio in a 1999 GMC Sierra I bought. Someone had tried to install a Double DIN radio in the 1.5 DIN hole. Hacked the trim panel up and it still wouldn't go in deep enough.Bought another trim panel, and single DIN radio. Used this kit to install the radio. While it was fairly sturdy enough to hold the radio, the final fit was not proffesional level. One, I had to run down metric off size screws to mount the radio to the bracket on the sides. These were like m5x1.25 or something like that. Turns out, m5 is rare, the 1.25 is rare for m5. It would have been nice for them to includes $.50 worth of hard to find screws. The face of the radio fits into a pocket so the the face of the radio is flush with the face of the kit. Normally, the face protrudes from the face of the kit so that the radio trim ring is exposed making for a more professional appearance. All in all, it worked. Turns out 1999-2000 GMC's were kind of an odd dash to start with. Different than anything before and after.

Easy to put together and install, it fit and sit perfectly flush with my dashboard on my 2001 Silverado and my pioneer head unit. It holds the head unit very good and doesn't move or rattle at all.Only complaint is that it doesn't bolt into the dash like the stock did. Instead it uses very strong beefy clips. Not the types of clips used on a door panel that break easily, clips that you can squeeze together and remove the entire assembly easily with no worry of breaking. Only problem is if you live in a bad neighborhood it will make it easier for the criminal to remove if they get in your car. Otherwise the clips are very useful for when I want to get behind the dash

I have a 2007 GMC Sierra Classic, and my son has a 2004 Sierra, and we changed the radios in both easily with kits from Walmart. When working on my daughter's 2001 Sierra, I had problems with ill fitting kits from all local retailers. Even modifications were impossible.I found out later that 1999 -2002 models are different, as the opening is 1 1/2 DIN instead of Double DIN.This kit works great to put a Single DIN receiver in, and took less than 20 minutes to install! The 99-02 are definitely different than the 03 and up.I would have saved a bundle and a headache if I had just shopped here first!

purchased for 2000 silveradoThe kit fits great and is easy to instal the confusing part is that there are 3 depth options for the headunit and the instructions are for several different kits (match the number to the one you order) and you have to play with it for a bit to figure out which depth option fits the stereo you have best; I went with the 'mid' myself. The most important thing: it matches the factory dash very well and is very sturdy (better then the other kit I had) - there are rails that suppport the back -- I just addded a bit of double stick tape to fill the gap a bit... and this kit fits flush with the dash --- it does not stick out like some do. worth the price.
