I've had my Miele vacuum for almost 30 years now, and with only minor rp0lacement parts it's been a wonderful vacuum. I use the upholstery tool a lot and thought it might be a good idea to replace the original tool for a new one to refresh the cleaning capabilities of my vacuum. The replacement upholstery tool isn't exactly the same as the original though, and even though it works OK, I think my 30 year old one still works better than the new one. There seems to be less grippy material one the new one and it seems to be less raised up from being flat with the rest of the tools surface. The housing also seems a little thinner. Overall I was a little disappointed to see the Miele quality seem to be going down a bit along with every other manufacturer's. I was considering upgrading to a newer model vacuum, but now I don't know that I want to. I'll likely keep my old one going as long as I can for now.
