I use this mount to adhere under the dresses of the brides I work with. None of them have mentioned any discomfort and most often forget that it’s there. It hasn’t slipped off the adhesives we used. It’s a great investment for your audio kit and it’s a perfect fit for the rode mics. Functionally it’s a 10/10.

I have a few different solutions for hiding lav mics and this one is particularly great for my Rode Lav mic and it also works pretty good with my SYNCO one too.It blends well with someone with fair skin and it also protects pretty well from clothing noise as well.

I work in wardrobe for film and TV and it's not often my responsibility to deal with microphones, but on non-union jobs (which I'm allowed to do - nothing shady or scabby going on) it's best I be prepared for any number of scenarios outside of but potentially involving my department. Since lavalier mics go on or under clothing I'm occasionally faced with the challenge of hiding them, and all heck breaks loose if the sound of fabric-against-mic friction is picked up. This microphone cover is very smooth and should cause no friction noise at all, no matter what material the garment or costume is made of. Even though it's designed for Rode mics, it works with other brands. I couldn't tell you which as, again, I'm not frequently involved with sound, but I asked an audio engineer friend about it and he said this piece works with some non-Rode mics. I didn't request a list of manufacturers as I figured most people in the market for one of these would have a sense of what fits. Oh—the adhesive is colorless and good quality. The color of the mount doesn't match anyone's skin tone but stands out less than the black head of the typical lav. The most important thing for my purposes is the smoothness of the plastic and its discreet size.

I know it's meant for Rode mics, but I got one to try to use with my Sennheisers. My MKE 2s work with it but not the ME 2s, because they're just a a little bit bigger in diameter, so they don't fit in the slot.It does do the job well, but it feels a bit pricey for what it is. That's to be expected, though, because it seems that all accessories like this for film sound work are grossly overpriced.
