My motor would turn left when in the up position when you turned on power switch. Minn Kota told me to replace the main control board.....I did...didn't help ...then replaced the steering board fixed it. If problem is in the steering replace the board first......you need need a 3/8" punch works better than a screw driver

My Minn Kira Ultrex trolling motor wouldn’t turn left. I watched some YouTube videos & it seemed like replacing this part was the issue. It took maybe 30 minutes to change since I didn’t have a pin punch set but now it’s complete & I’m back in business on the water

Pedal was “froze” couldn’t push heel down. Read other reviews and seemed like this was the fix. Purchased and installed in under 1 hour, start to finish. Good as new!!!

I emailed with them for over three weeks to get a reply saying I need to take it to an authorized service center....they are well aware of the defective foot control sensor .

I had an older ultrex with the older steering sensor. After a day of fishing in heavy rain, my ultrex displayed the “dead pedal” symptoms. The pedal would move left/counter clockwise perfectly. Turning the pedal right/clockwise, was almost impossible. BUT if I used my ipilot remote or put the motor in spot lock, the symptoms went away. After replacing the steering sensor in the pedal, it’s good as new!!
