Easily installed this back in June of this year. Even if it lasts only a year, it still seems like a good deal. We got the $130 dollar one and that lasted 3 years before blowing up so 20 a year is still a savings and I think after this one goes its time for a new TV anyways. Its also just as bright as the previous one.

For some people, it might be important to note that this specific lamp will not last as long as the factory lamp that was in their system originally. For me, it's a much cheaper replacement that works. Fit and function is great and doesn't differ from the OE lamp aside from a slightly cheaper looking construction. I wasn't expecting the WD65737 to be so easy to repair (I got mine used, and replaced the imaging chip right away). My OE lamp started to dim, and then finally my TV would not start the lamp and flashed lamp-related error codes during troubleshooting. I replaced it with this lamp, and the picture is bright and appears fine for normal use (it may be color biased somewhat but after adjustments and for general use it's fine). After about a year (your mileage may vary, mine stayed on a rough duty-cycle, I use it with a PC) the lamp cut-out without much warning and the TV threw the same error codes. It didn't dim at all, just failed, and the TV prevented further attempt to power the lamp. I ordered the same replacement and went through the rest of the TV circuitry checking for failed caps (none - good) and dusty fans (some - bad) - my suspicion is that these lamps are not as tolerable of heat and extended use as the OE lamp. Hopefully keeping the air circulation high for this area of the internals will allow for longer than a year of lamp operation, but at this price even just 6 months is fine with me. Pictured is the 1st replacement lamp, you can see the element is somewhat burnt at the tip. My OE lamp looked much worse, but lasted much, much longer.

When I purchased this lamp it came with a 1 year replacement warranty ( it was changed to 3 months now ) but don't expect it to last that long. I purchased this lamp May 1st 2016 and today, July 8th 2016 the lamp failed. This pattern lamp does not hold up to use like the genuine Mitsubishi lamp does. I have learned from experience not to post a review of products until I have used them for awhile. While this lamp worked from the moment I installed it, lasting less than 90 days is unacceptable.I don't have money to waste buying a new lamp every 3 months, do you? This isn't even a good backup! While it lasted the picture quality was like new. Crisp picture from edge to edge of the screen and I use the energy star setting. But when it is about to fail the picture is so dull and difficult to see. This happened the day before complete failure. At least this lamp did not explode like the previous lamp. Though that housing remained intact, I had to clean up a couple of bits of glass from the inside of my television. That lamp was NOT from this supplier.I hope this helps

I liked the brightness and color, however it did not last but a month. I had to purchase another lamp due on Thursday 2-12-15. I will be sending back the other lamp for a refund or another lamp. It is still on warranty. If the lamp would not have faulted I would have rated it higher.William

The lamp assembly was well packaged and a perfect fit replacement for the original factory lamp. As soon as it was installed, the TV performed the normal power on sequence and the picture is bright and clear. As of the date of this post, the bulb is functioning normally with no noticeable deterioration in performance.

Definitely good for the price getting right from the manufacturer will run you an extra 50+... Life span so far is good, Though im starting to have dying issues with it after roughly 4 months or so. seems to not always want to turn on, and i get red light. But once i unplug and let the tv sit for a few minutes and plug it back in the lamp kicks in just fine. So not bad for the price. Also life span probably has to do with use, My tv is always on when im home because im a gamer, So thats probably why its giving me issues earlier on

My Lamp blew 3 days before christmas. I was having a lot of people over for christmas and started to panic. Looked this thing up on amazon. got to me just in time. Took literally 30 seconds to install it. Works perfect. I actually forgot how nice of a picture this thing makes with a fresh bulb. It's like I have a brand new tv again. Well worth the purchase. Even if this one only lasts 6 months it's still well worth the 34 dollars I spend on it. I may buy like 3 or 4 of them just to have in stock in case this happens again.
