The factory oil filter housing is plastic, which failed on my 2018 Infiniti QX30 after 213K miles. The OEM Infiniti part was on backorder, and it was not clear when/if it would ever be back in production. I was not sure if this Mercedes aftermarket part was compatible, but I was so happy to find that it was a perfect fit for the 2.0L Mercedes gasoline turbo engine! Also, this housing is aluminum, which might be considered an upgrade over the OEM plastic part. Time will tell. However, simply being able to get this part right away was such a blessing. If anyone is having trouble finding parts for their Infiniti QX30, be sure to look at the Mercedes GLA 250 parts. Many of them are the same, especially the engine and drivetrain parts.
