This is the good stuff. It is perfect for my 2000 Chevy 1500 and 2005 GMC 2500HD. It works in both the front and rear differentials. If you have the G80 rear end, you DO NOT want limited slip friction additives, so this is perfect.

Its oil alright. Gear oil exactly like it states on the bottle. If you are looking to rub it on a baby's bottom, or mix it with water vinegar and wish bone salad dressing... then no this is not for you. Respectfully, your looking at the wrong product. :?).Bought this for years and years. Never once disappointed.

I was looking for Mobilube SHC Hypoid 75 90 fully synthetic gear oil but couldn't find it anywhere not even on the Mobil site, that's what my manual calls for, I heard on R3ownwers forum Mobil said this is a good replacement, Triumph dealership said they use Motul V-Twin synthetic gear oil, and I'm not familiar with them, and I read the reviews where a guy used it in his porche transmission and it was easier to shift, and it's made for semi trucks transmission and differential, I figured it didn't get more HD than that, only wish they had it in quart size so if I don't like it I didn't waste too much, I only need 6oz per change, but I'll tell you how it looks when it comes out next year if I remember, the stuff that came out was black and smelled like regular gear oil, I'm the 2nd owner so don't know how long it was in there, got 45,000 miles so!! Seems to be a little smoother now and quieter going slow. But so far I'm satisfied and I have enough I can probably change it every year till I die, it suggests every 20,000.So far so good, I'm using the Delvac grease too. GL ππ

This is the perfect, Porsche Racing approved 6-speed manual transmission gear oil replacement for the no-longer-produced Shell SHC gear oil that came in the cars. It is actually factory Fill in 996 GT3 and 996 GT3 Cup cars and is superior in every way to even new Shell SHC, were it to exist. This has been used by many factory works and privateer teams in the Rolex 24, Sebring 12, Road America endurance races, Le Man's, etc., according to senior members and industry professionals on renntech, rennlist, pelican parts forums, etc. This was expressly held out as being superior to the Mobil 1 75w-90 LS gear oil found in auto parts stores for the Porsche gear box and final drive by these experts. The Delvac also holds a MIL certification that the regular Mobil 1 LS does not hold.I have found that the 6 speed manual gear box in my 1999 996 holds between 2.7 and 3.7 quarts of oil. Either way, this is enough for one drain and fill.Widely used in the 996 and 997 6-speed transmissions in both cold and hot climates, this is an excellent gear oil. Will report back with shifting impressions after I get my 1999 996 C2 911 Cab drained and refilled.I'll also add about 3 oz of Lubeguard HD gear oil protectant to the gallon for extra protection, but not enough to screw up the operation of the synchros.
