The device worked great for about a week. Now the left analog stick doesnt work. If it wasnt for this i would rate 5 stars

Wow! I'm super impressed with this mobile phone gaming controller! I've been wanting one for years to better control some of the games and emulation I play on my phone. I have an Android S20, I know this says it's for iPhone but it works for Android too. The manufacture should change that detail. I snagged this via Amazon Vine because another reviewer said it worked on their Android phone. So glad I did! This controller is super premium in my opinion. Looks and feels like an Xbox controller but you get to place your phone in the middle. It was easy to setup, just push the pair button, then on your Android phone do a Bluetooth search and it's called 'Wireless Controller', select it and it just pairs. I installed their app, 'ShanWan Controller' from the Google Play store, so no risky app to install! The app let's you test the controller out and launch games but be aware it does not work with all games out of the box even if they show in the app. For that you need to open the Google Play Store and search for “gamepad mapper” or “gamepad keymapper.” Then you can map the controls for the game that is not supported. Once you do that you're good to go.This thing does not feel cheap in any way or at least in my opinion, as I've mentioned before it feels premium. The underside of the controller handles is a textured grip almost just like the Xbox controllers. The buttons feel great, not cheap or mushy like some other third party controllers I've used for the Wii. I've not noticed any ghosting when using the D-Pad. It gives great feedback from the rubber membrane underneath it just like an Xbox. The analog sticks feel like they came right out of an Xbox controller, or at least in my opinion. I've not experienced any drift when gaming so far. The A, B, X & Y keys work separately from each other. I've used some other third party controllers where you push one key and others will press sometimes because they use a D-pad approach and that's just bad all around. The triggers are perfectly placed, no reaching or awkward pushes. The bottom extra buttons are perfectly placed too and my fingers naturally lay right on them. The only issue I have so far is the grips don't have the nubby part sticking down far enough for my palm to grip/rest on but most phone holding gamer controllers are like this I guess for portability but they aren't really portable in the first place. I don't know about you but I'm not taking this thing with me unless it's a vacation. Oh another nice feature is a good sized cutout for the camera bump. I also really like that they are USB-C for charging and it holds a charge for a long period of time while gaming or when powered off, sorry I didn't track the exact time. So if you want a better gaming experience on your mobile phone then this is a good bet. I give this unit a 9 out of 10.

I'm giving this controller a solid 3 stars because its good at some things but misses the ball on others. It has the potential to be better than most IF Gen 2/Version 2 updates with these changes.PROS: Near full size. Feels great in the hands and not cramped game play like you might find in a Razer Kishi or similar controllers.-Full Size Thumb Sticks. Now not as big as say Xbox Controlelr but would still consider them full size when compared to the tiny sticks you would find on a Nintendo Joycon or even the Backbone One. These are also adjustable in height which is it's best feature! Wish other brands would take note on this. The metal shafts allow for these to be raised or lowered over an additional 3 mm.-Linear Triggers. Love a good linear travel trigger especially when playing any type of FPS. Controllers with a "button" type trigger or membrane trigger is a deal breaker for me.-Battery Life is quite good! Expect up to 25 hrs of game play on a single charge in "most" cases-Decent D-Pad!CONS:-Price Point. Being on $20 cheaper than some big brands like GameSir, Razer and Backbone makes it a tough sell. Especially considering when those brands offer direct connect play thru USB C or Apple Connector. This brings me to my next complaint... Bluetooth Only-Bluetooth Only. While connecting to BT is seamless on this device I would much rather a direct connection thru the phones usb port. This helps with latency A LOT! This is Bluetooth 5.0 so it's not up to date with the latest BT Generation and seems to work fine when gaming natively on Android Games. The lag is most prominent when stream gaming. Streaming from Luna, Xbox or any cloud there is going to be latency regardless. Pair that up with controller latency from Bluetooth and you will have missed inputs. 50% of this could be avoided by a direct connected controller. I consider this to be a missed feature/oppurtiny on this device.-Button Layout. I'm not a fan of the ABXY Buttons BELOW the thumbstick (see pic for comparison to the Xbox Series X Controller). If you play with Xbox...PS or Nintendo you will notice that the ABXY buttons are always above the right stick and sometimes slighty over. These buttons are below the thumbstick and it's not a natural movement "for me" to remove my thumb off the stick...drag it down to input a button. Just feels un-natural for me-ABYX buttons are kinda on the mushy side but not horrible. Defienetly usuable-No rubberized grip on the are your phone lays. There is a small amount of rubber on the ends to help keep the phone in place. BUT if you play without a case theres no rubber on the backside. Just plastic. Nice thing is that since this unit does NOT direct connect to a phone you can mount your phone with a case on.OVERALL:I think they have a decent controller on their hands but misses the mark on some key things. I LOVE the adjustable sticks and overall "bigger" size of the controller but the missing features stated above only makes this thing "average" at best. Especially at the price point which only comes in $20 cheaper than the bigger names. If priced around $30 then could see this being more competitive in the staturated controller market

I’ve waited to review this to give my son some time to use it and let me know what he thinks. I’ll start by saying that it was really easy to connect and use with his iPhone. I see him playing on it almost daily, mostly when hanging out in the living room and seems to be enjoying it. So far I haven’t seen any issues with how it works and as long as it holds up I think for the cost, it’s been a great deal. I hope this helps you!

Happy to report this worked out of the box with my S22 ultra. The controls respond to the phone as expected, and the controller is of expected quality. I'd expect it to last for a while, even if it is just carried around and bumped alot.

I use this for a couple different games, it works soo well I wish some of my gatcha games had better controller support. I use this primarily on android to play fortnite, rather the off modes primarily and less/minimum of the competitive shooting. But overall for survival, rhythm, and shooter games, I would rank them in that order of suitability for this. This doesn't work immeditalty, rather you need to assign your app to the companion app, then open the game through the companion app to get the controller to work, that's fine. Though some games don't have controller support on Android, but do have controller support on iPhone so check your app beforehand, for example the gatcha game genshin, I checked both so this worked fine on the platform I mentioned. Overall great controller though you are limited on what buttons you can map to a paddle this is fine.
