I'm having an "Arms Race" with my son-in-law. We are adding mods to our home defense shotguns. I'm adding every ridiculous mod to my 870 I can find just so I don't lose.I installed this on my shotgun to serve as a sling point and a Lazer mount. It moves slightly after a number of shots but still stays relatively on sight. This would be a great light holder. I understand I'm using it outside of recommendations and accept my results.

Very disappointed in this product, even more in the company. After plenty of research this product was exactly what I was looking for. Ordered and received a corroded product, no big deal, I’ll just return it and get a replacement. Got my replacement only to find out the product had the same issue! Extremely inconsistent in quality. I’m not putting corroded metal in contact to my brand new shotgun. Again, extremely disappointed due to the fact that this was a good price, design and practical for my use. I’m definitely no longer interested in purchasing anything from this company again!

After reading the reviews I was more than skeptical but since Amazon has a good reputation for returns, the risk was minimal. If it was junk, the world would read about it.Shipping was reasonably fast. Even arriving a day early. It was obviously used but serviceable. I expected to purchase longer screws but the reviews were inaccurate. It fits my Mossberg 500 12 ga perfectly. The mount and sling swivel are rock solid! It connects and disconnects perfectly and is very secure. What good is a sling you can't trust?I've installed an M4 style collapsible stock w/ pistol grip. I repositioned the rear sling swivel so that the sling mounts on the left side in alignment with the front, similar to the M1 Carbine. It's comfortable and practical.I took advantage of the rail by attaching a flashlight / blue laser combo that I'm also happy with.If my luck holds out, I'll never need it for self-defense. But I trust it if I ever do need it.Another added benefit that I really like... This particular shotgun has a 20" barrel with a 7 round extended magazine.I used the heat shield off my Mossberg Maverick 88 and there is no stop so it's possible for it to slide forward. This mount also acts as a secure stop for the heat shield. It's perfect! As others have mentioned, it doesn't come with instructions. But... unless you have issues with uncontrollable drooling, you should be able to figure it out in less time than looking at a picture or reading instructions. It's a high quality accessory that's well worth the price. I honestly can't find anything bad to say about it.

I did no expect to be as sturdy as it is. It is heavy in the hand. It is a quality product and worth the money. The quick connect is the best one I have owned. I am very impressed with this. If I had another shotgun I would buy it again.

Received mount today. Seems solid, solid lock up, great fit. I'll give 5 stars for now, unless something changes.

Fits a Mossberg 500 well. Has a quick detach (depress the post to release/insert) for convenience too. Well made.

I feel the people making these in China don't know what a Remington 870 is. That said, I made this mount work on my 870 youth 20 gauge with an aftermarket mag extension. I had to flip it upside down (as others have mentioned) because the mag tube is larger diameter than the barrel and the mount has two different radii, that will put the gun light down below and to the shooter's left of the barrel closer to my fore hand which I prefer, so not a problem in my case. That assembly using trimmed up adhesive pads fits well and actually helps reinforce my mag extension in an additional spot. Next issue which is a common theme in the reviews is the extremely small tolerance afforded for a given weapon light diameter....you will need a micrometer to peg this one! I'm sure there are a few lights out there that are a dead ringer for this loop, but I can't find any hints in comments or reviews. I've already tried a perfect 1.0 inch dia. light and it's seriously a micrometer too big to get the first bolt threads started....I think they measured the outside of the loop instead of the inside? Anyway, what makes this a big problem is that you don't want a shimmed light, especially on a shotgun, so you have to find the perfect fit that is actually a hair big, but not too big to get at least a couple threads tightened....probably down to trial and error, so if someone finds the magic flashlight that fits this to a tee, let it be known! The last issue (which won't be for most of us) is that the tiny nuts are a tight fit into their respective impressed nut seats, so you just take a small hammer and block of wood to pound those in without scuffing any metal. Good luck!
