I haven't been successful at ripping less than 2" off a 24" tile without cracking it. Maybe I need more practice?

Cuts awesome and a staple for any large format tile job. A fantastic tool as long as you don’t need to move it around to much. After 1 hotel job doing shower walls and floors I found that I have to use a square when setting it up for the lengthiest cuts. But precision is key so not a big drawback.

When i first tarted tiling 20yrs ago, I had 2 ruby tie cutters, butthe ruby with the double bars, did not scour the tiles very accurately, they would veer off becausethe 2 thin bars would bend. With this Montolit Masterpiupa Tile cutter, you do not have that problem, with the regular Ruby Ts or Tx series, breaking the tile appropriately is a problem, especially with the Ruby Ts 60’s .With this Tile cutter, because of the one thick shaft, your scouring of the tile is 99 - 100% accurate. The blade lasts very long, the cutting bar does not warp with use, neither does it rust. And the breaker system is excellent.I have had 3 of them in 20yrs, and all 3 are still working. The newer ones are so much cooler. They are all different sizes that i bought to meet my needs. This is the best hands down and the best worry free money you will spend on a tile cutter, if you are a serious tradesman.

I bought this for a big floor I was doing and didn't want to use a wet saw. The cutting wheel felt rough and hard to score tile. When snapping the tile there was no clean break as evidenced by the pictures attached to this review. My $85 Brutus cutter worked better! I've been setting tile professionally for 30 years, very experienced in hand machine cutters, and I have recently heard great things about Montolit Masterpiuma hand cutters. I really wanted it to be good and a new addition to my tools, but I was sorely disappointed.

Works great! Compared to my wet saw, this is much more convenient and portable, less messy, quicker clean up, and is just as accurate as the wet saw. I like the marked measurements across the top.I bought this for a bathroom project with 24" x 24" tiles, it worked great.

It’s good at cutting tiles, but not great. Maybe after reading the reviews I hyped myself up into thinking it would do better. I still have second thoughts about whether it was a great purchase. We completed our tile job with it and it seemed like the cut pieces were used more on the outside walls then on inside. It chipped a little on the edges. It wasn’t much, but it wasn’t perfect either.
