I love the fact that this part works as it should,I tried a generic part first try to save a few dollars but it didn't work at all, so I went with the OEM Ford motorcraft part and it worked perfect.

I have a 2013 ford f150 with the 5.0 v8 with roughly 75k miles and all of the sudden one day while working the oil pressure dropped to zero and the warning started beeping. It really freaked me out at first bc I thought my oil pump went out. The pressure would drop when I came to a stop and go back up when stepping on the gas. After some googling I found out its a fairly common issue with these engines and its just the oil sending unit(warning sensor). I also read to use a Motorcraft brand bc off brands could still give faulty pressure warning. I was going to change it myself but I have a four wheel drive and there was no way I could get my hand in there to remove the sensor. I ordered this and found a shop to install. The install wasn't cheap but it has been working for a little over a week now.

I had a bad oil leak that left a pool of oil every time I used magnum (cars nickname). Got worse with time. At first, I thought it was the front seal but then I noticed this little bugger was FULL of oil, even the connector. Also, it only leaked when used and not parked (usually crank seals leak parked). Sure enough, It was this guy that had given up after 22 years of faithful service. There are two switches model that fit. I bought both just to make sure I have my car back. This is the first one to arrive and it fits perfectly. Just beware, you need a special socket for this one. I got creative and manage to tighten it in with alternate methods. It fits perfectly and fixed my oil leak, cannot be happier.ALSO! Just remembered. The first sign this switch gave when it was going bad was that it would sporadically make the oil pressure appear as high and then low. Afterward, the needle would jump whenever I accelerated. 2 weeks after that ordeal I noticed the first oil drips. So if your oil pressure gauge is acting up, check your oil sending unit because it might be reaching its end... very quickly. It happens fast so act fast.
