I got this product as my cat likes to sit/sleep on my desk while I'm using the computer, and there just isn't enough space for that sort of thing, leading to occasional traipses across the keyboard. I figured that it would add a bit of space where she could be close to me while also not being in the way. Of course, being a cat, she won't cooperate, refusing to stay in the bed no matter how many times I place her there. Whatever instinct that causes cats to play in the box rather than with the toy you bought for them kicked in.That said, it is a very nice bed. It seems soft and comfortable, and attaches quite solidly to the table. So long as you have about an inch and a half at the edge of what you're attaching it to (2 inch or so thickness maximum), it should work. It was pretty easy to assemble, though size-wise the cloth material was just barely big enough to fit over the metal frame. I was able to get it on with a bit of shoving and squeezing. The bed seems reasonably soft and comfortable, assuming you can somehow talk the cat into using it.

This cat bed itself is very nice and made with a lovely soft plush material. I found the directions for putting it together straightforward enough, but you need to slide the frame into the cat bed and zip it shut. I tried over and over, and could not get it to fit properly, as shown in the video. It appeared that the bed itself is slightly too small to fit correctly over the frame. Others may manage to get it over the frame but I could not. I also did not like the fact that while it has a frame, it has no support under the cat bed to hold the cat's weight and help the cat to feel secure. I also worry that it therefore is not strong enough to last and a cat could eventually fall through it. I am giving it two stars because the bed material is so soft, with nice raised sides. I also have a small cat tree with a roomy perch that my cats did not like until I put an extra cloth on the perch, because the material the perch is covered with is so thin and not that soft. Since this cat bed itself is very nice, with such thick, soft material, I have put it on the perch on the cat tree, and I think my cats will like it as least as well as the cloth that was on it before. The perch does have slightly raised sides to hold the cat bed in place. So by putting both together, I have found a good use for both. But I can't recommend it as a desk cat bed. If you can put it together and like it, then that is great, but I thought others should be warned that they might have the same issue that I did.

As I was putting this framework together they gave great instructions and I noticed the quality is also fair. I'm not worried of my cats safety using it.I did have a little difficulty with some of the joints fitting together but I'm sure that happens I'd rather have it snug and stable than flimsy and weak. I just gave it a little extra tap and it went together so you might need a little a little extra arm strength to put this together. As I took the fluffy bed part out of package it was sooo soft I love it. I wanted my cat to be used to it before I put it up so she wasn't just curious but she trusted it. So I did spend a couple of hours getting her used to just laying on it on my rollator once she laid on it though, it was all over... She loved how soft and squishy it was she absolutely loves it.I found that the functionality is amazing I don't have to just stick it on my desk I have a TV cart and she watches the birds in the TV. I put it onto the TV cart. She lays in that bed all the time! I think it took her an hour and a half before she found it since then she's just snuggled into this bed every moment.I hope I'm not too personal on my own experience but it's about the cats or the animals that are going to be laying in it and their experience. she weighs about 12 lbs I have not seen this bed frame move with her jumping from the floor up to it it says it's rated for 40 lb I have not seen it move adjust I have not seen it do anything I have a very nicely secured and that was my concern that she would fall in hurt herself but this seems to be a great value for its money. I have a neighbor who tested her cat in weighs 19.8lbs and the frame still did not move, so it's very safe within that 12-20lb range that is all I can offer.I hope this helps other people out when you're trying to figure out if your cat might be too heavy or if the frame for this may be too weak. The price might not be worth your time I would definitely purchase another one of these and recommend them to all my friends who have cats. 😻

This cat bed serves its purpose. It was relatively easy to put together and install, and surprisingly my incredibly picky cat immediately tried it out. I'm knocking off a star because the paint on the metal rods got in the way of them sliding together and locking and the seam allowances on the bed are EXTREMELY TIGHT so the metal structure, once built, had to be forced in a bit so I could zipper it inside. The bed seems sturdy enough, and I like that the clamps can fit a variety of table thicknessness, but the actual construction definitely requires some elbow grease.
