It's not working. I saw no difference in my experience when using this.I gave an extra star for the simple fact that the customer service rep was really helpful and answered all my questions right away. They told me that this is a lactic acid bacillus bacteria and enzymes that is supposed to help the cycling process. I appreciated their service and help.But at this moment, I have not seen any positive results at the moment when using this product.

I've used these muck buster type of tablets in the past with very good success. When using biological filtration methods such as this it's important to give those beneficial bacteria a place to live and colonize in such as bio balls, lava rock, and pond stone. I have a 1000 gl koi pond and it takes patience and persistence to achieve crystal clear water with some algae present. I have a pressurized canister filter underground where the water passes over a UV light, four layers of high density foam (mechanical filtration) then through bio balls, and then up to a waterfall where I have a bag of lava rock in the waterfall reservoir for additional biological cleaning to take place. Since adding a thin layer of stone along the bottom of my pond, I found this to be helpful for more beneficial organisms to grow and thrive and my pond has remained cleaner. The only issue I have with these tablets is the size. For my pond I'm gonna have to count out 40 of these tiny tablets to spread throughout the pond vs 10 larger size tablets from a different brand. All in all, these do a great job for pond clarity... don't forget your plants like water hyacinth and pond lilies to block out some sun, the fish will like them too. And keep an eye out for Blue Herons !!

I picked these up because I was having water issues with my 55 gallon tank I keep my turtle in. I would have to do constant water changes to keep up with the sludge and smell so I tried these tablets. So far they seem to be doing a good job and I seem to have to change water less due to a huge reduction of sludge and organic debris from the bottom of the tank. So I'm happy with the purchase. I also chip off a little and put some in my betta fish tank just to keep things nice in there. Both the turtle and fish don't seem to be bothered at all by me adding the pellet so it looks like this product is natural and safe for my fish and turtle and also didn't effect the plants in the tank at all. I like that this doesn't contain any harmful chemicals so I don't have to worry about any future issues. Cant get any more simple than dropping pellets into a tank so Ill stick with this as I'm happy with the results.- a simple and effective solution

I use this to keep the muck controlled. It helps keep the water clear for healthier fish and a beautiful pond. I have noticed a difference in the clarity of the water since using.

I adopted 7 koi and needed my pond cleared for them quickly. It had been 2 years since cleaned and this stuff didnt help with my pond! I didnt see much clear trying to user again and I'll update!

We have a smaller pond and leave it uncovered for animals during the winter. Since we have a fair number of trees around, leaves get blown in during late fall and winter. By spring, when the water level is at its lowest, we clean the muck, run extra filters, and then refill the pond.The small size of these tablets works very well for that circumstance since you can easily adjust the dosage based on water volume without having to break them apart. Since we had a few warm days, we started the process, and there has been a gradual improvement with murkiness and muck. The water temperature is at or slightly below the recommended 50F, so I would assume that the tablets will work even better when it gets warmer.

Like many small pond enthusiasts, I use a multitude of approaches to keep the water clear and algae free. From mechanical filtration to UV lights, barley and bio balls, I've had good success in keeping the water clear and safe for my fish. I use bacteria probiotics to attack the sludge from organic materials and fish waste. I've use loose granular, liquid and pelletized versions - all to good success. I find the pelletized form convenient to ensure proper dosing and to place the treatment where it is needed most. The ActiClear Muck Clear comes in a sturdy bottle with clear dosage instructions. The small size of each tablet allows use in smaller ponds and water features and perhaps more importantly, allows precise placement where you need the treatment. I've found using tablets will quickly clear the area around the tablet. By using forty of these for my 1,000 gallon pond, the tablets can attack the specific areas you need. Like most similar products, the water temperature must be over 50 degrees for the cleaning action to be effective. We had a few warm days this Spring so I tried the Muck Clear knowing I was on the edge of the temperature requirement. I haven't seen any clearing after one day but I am seeing air bubbles - the byproduct of the bacteria working. I will continue to monitor and update as the days warm.

I have a small 5 gallon tank so I used part of a pill to treat my fish tank. It works very well starting from day 3 I am seeing some improvement.
