This was a replacement for the original wraparound bridge which came with the Epiphone Les Paul SL (now renamed Melody Maker E1).The original was lightweight and very soft metal and although it had the "lightning" bar on it, there were no string grooves. This meant that the strings could wander away from their ideal position, especially the treble E and eventually cut into the metal at a wrong position causing an annoying 'sitar' sound.Playing and intonation became difficult as a result. This MusicLilly replacement is heavier and not only has a more pronounced lightning bar but string grooves which perfectly centre the strings over the pickup poles.Installation was dead easy. Just replace the old posts with the new ones, no need to remove the inserts, they're the same thread. It took much longer to restring the guitar!I am delighted with this so far. It intonated right way, and improved the bridge to neck angle considerably, something that I was having a lot of trouble with on the original setup. Plays great now! Highly recommended.

I bought this to replace the wrap-around tail piece on my 1997 Epiphone SG Junior P90 model guitar. It was a perfect drop in fit. There are some differences between the original parts and the Musiclily parts. The bridge post screws are shorter than the original bridge posts. The collar around the top of the bridge post inserts is more narrow on the Musiclily post inserts, and the bridge post screw tops are a touch bigger and more rounded on the Musiclily bridge posts. With this said, all the parts were interchangeable with the existing (original) hardware meaning I didnt have to remove the existing bridge posts or bridge post inserts and I could mix/match any of the parts and everything fit together. The Musiclily bridge posts are shorter, but that doesnt make any difference as there is no way you will need to raise the bridge high enough that the shorter posts will become an issue. I used the existing (original) bridge post inserts because the collar around the opening of the bridge post inserts that rests against the body is wider and it covered some drill marks in the finish from the bridge posts being drilled. The collar on the Musiclily post inserts is more narrow. But I used the Musiclily bridge posts because the original posts were chewed up.The Bridge itself is exactly like the original bridge with one exception - the Musiclily bridge has grooves in the intonation ridge for the strings to lay in. I am not sure if thats better or worse but on the original bridge, the strings had already cut this groove into the bridge leaving the edges sharp so maybe this is better.I bought this expecting to change out the entire original bridge hardware because after 27 years of playing, the original bridge and bridge posts were chewed up. This was a perfect fit and the only parts not used were the bridge post inserts and that was for cosmetic reasons, not fit or function. I highly recommend this bridge hardware for these Epi Junior models***Before asking questions, get a caliper and measure your hardware yourself - the measurements don't lie. I have had enough experience of "eye-balling" parts and then getting things that dont fit (I have a box of those parts as proof). I took detailed measurements using a $10 caliper before ordering this and I got perfect fit hardware the first time.***

Used this to replace a chrome bridge on my Epiphone Junior. Piece of cake, only quirk is it's painted, so I used a small file to lightly remove the paint in string slots.

Replaced the nasty stock bridge on my Harley Benton SC Special. It's perfect, didn't have to change the captive nuts as the new bolts fit. A big improvement on the stock one, comfortable when palm muting and the intonation was spot on straight out of the box.

This part is OK and the same quality as original Epiphone, etc. But, it's a couple mm wider. They centered the lightning bolt. The result is that it ends up being a couple mm further back vs. the stock lightning bolt. Even with the intonation screws completely removed, I could not get it forward enough to intonate this Epiphone guitar. I returned it and got something that was spec'ed closer to stock. If you have bridge that's almost falling off the back side of your studs because you've got the intonation screws all the way in and then some, this is the part for you. But if your lightning bar needs to be centered vs. the studs, this won't do it.

I have an old Epi special that needed a new stop bar. This stop bar fit right on with no issues and worked well.. I was able to get the intonation real close with it.
