I needed a pickup to replace in a guitar I was selling, so I decided to order this one to replace it with, but to my surprise, it actually sounded really good, and in fact, better than the one I had in my guitar originally. It's slightly hot, what I would call a medium output pickup, and has a nice growl to it as well. It was easy to install, and fit in my stratocaster easily. Overall, I was impressed with this pickup.

Very nice sounding pickup for the bridge. Can be nice and clean but really shines with some overdrive or distortion. The bang for the buck on this pickup is really quite astonishing. I had my doubts but figured I would give it a go and was quite pleasantly surprised. I used this to replace the stock pickups in a kit I built, so it was a dramatic improvement over those. It’s nice to get a humbucker into a single coil pickguard spot, so that’s a major bonus here. Overall, I am more than pleased with this pickup.

Actually is 13.2 ohms as confirmed with a ohm meter. I tested using alligator clips to hear the sound and they are powerful. I also tested them on a ST pickguard and they fit well with no need to file the opening. This is a very well made high quality rail pickup at a very good price. Perfect as a Bridge pickup and the sound is clean not dull. Definitely great for taking your guitar to the next level at a great price!

Most important to know - I have not installed them in a guitar yet. I do a lot of guitar work and work with lots of pickup types and brands so the review is based on first impressions and visual inspection. The pickup is well built - aside from the cheaper, thinner rubber coated wiring, everything else looks quality. The wiring is not a surprise based on the cost - and not a big deal. They come nicely packaged with everything you need to mount the pickup in a pickguard. The edges are smooth and clean and the rails sit nicely in the casing. With cheaper pickups, many times, the rails sit wonky in the plastic, the pickup is covered in wax, or the edges are rough - I have encountered the issues individually and cumulatively in past budget pickups I have worked with - that is not the case with this pickup. Vey nicely made. As I stated, I have not installed the pickup, but I did test it with a multi-meter and it does give a signal. My reading didnt match the description reading exactly, but its very close and thats common - regardless - this is a hot pickup. I expect that it will give a high output, bright sound based on the meter reading and its makeup so no concerns on if I will like it. Its a good pickup, especially for the price. I got another one through Vine and I will be purchasing a third to build out my next project. I recommend this for a noiseless, humbucker sound upgrade to your single-coil guitar.

Great for when you want a humbucker where you cant have one! Sounds great and fits easily into a single coil cutout. Coil tapping is a nice bonus! Would recommend.

Great quality single coil sized humbucker in black with silver rails.This hot rails style humbucking pickup that mounts in a strat single coil space is a nice weight and is beautifully built.I'll be mounting it in the neck position on a tele partscaster build.I highly recommend this for value and quality.The included wiring diagram shows how it can be coil split as well. Inclusion of two choices of mounting screw head and springs is very helpful and makes these very flexible in terms of mounting.Value and quality - what more can you want?

I put this 13.2 k alnico hot rail in the bridge position on a 2024 Squire strat. It's fantastic, I can still get nice strat sounds out of the neck and middle pickup, but now can also do great hard rock/ metal tones with this bridge pickup. Best of both worlds. I used a 500k tone pot, .022 film tone cap for the install, and it sounds great.

This is a ripper of a pickup. Buyers need to note that this uses two mini coils to make a humbucker in a single coil profile. This is not a single coil pickup. Alnico 5 with a high resistance, and nearly comically high inductance of 11H makes it an interesting combination. It sounds great with distortion and can blow your doors off if you're not careful. It's definitely worth trying at the affordable price.
