Mustad Fishing

MUSTAD FISHING

Innovation, quality and a pioneering spirit have led to Mustad becoming the largest hook producer in the world. Today, Mustad can be found in over 160 countries around the globe. In many of these countries, the name "Mustad" translates to "fishing hook."

Mustad Technology

Mustad Ultrapoint Hooks

ULTRAPOINT

Mustad's UltraPoint technology ensures incredible sharpness without compromising strength. UltraPoint hooks are 20% sharper and designed to stay sharper longer, so you can keep casting without changing your lure or sharpening hooks.

Mustad Grip Pin Hooks

GRIP-PIN

Mustad Grip-Pin technology is designed with a molded resin pin that securely anchors a wide range of baits to the hook for a "no slip, no slide" design that extends the life of your bait.

Mustad Treble Hooks

TRIPLE GRIP

Mustad Triple Grip hooks combine exceptional hooking and holding capability with outstanding strength. They feature a precise shape that almost "locks" a fish into the elbow of the bend, making it virtually impossible for the fish to throw the hook.

Nor-Tempered Hooks

NOR-TEMPERED

Mustad Nor-Tempering is 30% stronger than standard wire without being brittle. No broken points means more fish caught.

Easy to set up and adjust in the fly. Make sure you wet the rubber pieces before you put them on the bobber or you will have a heck of a time getting them on and off.

I love this float, especially how easily it can be adjusted. Easy to move up and down the line when wet. The weight on it makes it easy to cast out far if needed. Highly visible and fun to fish with. Be careful with rocks and such under water as these can chip the paint off.

Love these fixed floats, Addicted makes pretty solid products. Their products are cheaper on their website by quite a bit at the time of this review, however, you will wait longer ordering direct. Worth the money saved IMO. Happy fishing!

i was excited to try these bobbers out for trout fishing at my local spillway. after about two trips this bobber started looking rough. the paint is cracking and chipping and there are chunks missing out of it. also the tunnel through which the line passes is not very secure. it has started to shift in and out of the body of the bobber. it’s also nerve racking to put the tubing on the pegs because i’m afraid they’ll snap every time, even if i wet them first. the soft balsa material is no match for any rocky obstacles should the bobber deviate from your intended path. i wanted to try balsa because i heard the buoyancy is much better than plastic. but i think i’ll go back to plastic because they’re nearly indestructible and cost effective. for the remaining life of this bobber i’ll just use it in deeper water with no chance of hitting anything.
