Originally, these post plates came with 8mm x 100mm T40 screws, and the installed post is sturdy and rigid. Then Muzata changed the screws to be 6mm x 60mm T30. Note that the information about this product is now out of date, and the wrong hole size and depth are still being given on the web page. Even though the new screws have passed Muzata's "safety test", I would not trust the new screws to hold as strongly. I complained to customer service and they responded quickly and were very helpful. They were able to send me the old screws from their warehouse in China at no cost to me. I happily give Muzata Customer Service 6+ stars for their speed and helpfulness.Beware, any orders for the WT08 now come with the smaller screws, and at this time the web page info is still wrong. I give the old version 5 stars, the new version 3 stars and I cannot recommend it.

I searched a long time for an anchor that would be virtually invisible, and durable at the same time. This is it! These were super easy to install. And the posts are very strong, expecially after rail is installed.

These post mounts worked great to put the deck posts up . … you will need to add filler blocks under the deck if there is not a joint under the screwdown holes … my inside screwdown hole were only going thru 2x6 decking, and the included lever lock screws came down 1 1/2 inches before the threading started… hence the backing blocks… I had 22 feet of straight run on 2 sides of my deck and after 2 when I was done (4 posts in a row) I thought the center post wobbled too much… fixed this by sistering another 4x4 to the outside of the middle post… looks good and is stiff as you could want. One final peeve…the base plate covers do not fit the bases! Bought the base plate covers for that finished look but found they are too small! Impossible to install on wet 4x4’s, but was able to just barely slide over the dry lumber I was using …. But they don’t even cover the screws, let alone the base plate… company acknowledged this and said the were developing a replacement, but it wouldn’t be available until late this year.. I would not recommend…
