I bought this book so that my granddaughter and I can spend fun, creative time together, doing origami!! I’ve always love it as a child, and I know she’s going to have so much fun with it.

The book is well made, and the stickers add to the fun, but most of the projects are too hard for young kids...

This book needs a companion video on YouTube or something. Some of the descriptions and pictures are difficult to follow and I end up looking for clearer instructions on YouTube. My son loves origami and I’m trying to help him with it, but after doing some of these I’m quickly losing patience with some of the figures. For example, the orange paper they use for the butterfly did not show the folds well in the picture so it’s difficult to see well enough to know what my folds should look like. I did have to look up what a waterbomb base was online because there wasn’t a clear enough description in the book. Their photo didn’t do it justice. The included paper is nice, the stickers are fun, and the “simple” designs are good to start out but I imagine most beginners with this book are going to need to supplement with additional resources to complete some of these.

Great gift for kids. Keep them mentally and physically active. The instructions and step by step illustrations are great. However, for younger kids, instructions are not easy to follow, need adults supervision to guide the kids. Value for money too.

This was a fun activity for my grandson and me. The patterned papers added to the interest. He was so proud of his origami zoo.

The children this was purchased for love it. They are having a blast making new things all the time. There are lots of things to choose from. Very few of the instructions can be a little hard to follow but for the most part they are easy to interpret for a 6 and 8 year old.

I love origami, but it wasn't easy to follow - specifically the illustration could be better. The color of the diagram doesnt distinguish between back and front, so the diagram wasn't that helpful until a few steps later when you find that you folded the wrong edge.I love it because it comes with folding papers. Not recommended for non-school children

My nieces (8 and 10) and I were attending an event where we anticipated long waits in line. This kit was perfect to entertain and amuse all of us. My only slight critique was some of the patterns on the paper wasn't clear as to which project it belonged as well as mismatch from the project book illustrations but that was so minor it didn't deter from the overall enjoyment. I would recommend and buy again if I need to entertain small children for some period of time in the future. The kit comes with 3 pieces of paper per project so if you anticipate more children, buy more paper or another kit. Some of the paper patterns are specific for the final complete look so if you have children that are more obsessed with aesthetics, use caution in selecting paper patterns

My First Origami Kit is a lovely way to introduce origami to children or all those who are young at heart. What I love about this Kit:* The step-by-step instructions combine photographs and standard origami symbols to make them very easy to follow.* Twenty origami models are included in a small-size book that is easy to carry in your pocket or purse.* There is an assortment of models, some traditional and some of the author's creation. Some of the models are toys, but most are animals.* My First Origami Kit can be used as a lovely way to introduce children to the animal kingdom, and the concepts of reptiles, mammals, birds and insects, as all these categories are represented in this book.* A particular model I'd like to highlight is a Teddy Bear that "talks" when you open and close its arms. It also folds flat and can be attached to a greeting card. Hint: Having instructions for this model alone is worth the prize of the whole book ;-)* My First Origami Kit includes special origami paper and stickers for creature's eyes and noses. In all, this little kit is BIG fun!
