These nibs are very flexible tip, which can draw lines of different thickness according to the strength of the pen;

I have Manga G Nikko Fountain Pen, and I tried to put a new nib - Zebra G, but was very surprised that Zebra G cannot stay firm into Manga, so I put a new Tachikawa nib, and everything is fine now.

Like the Zebra G, these are NOT for beginners, or they're for a beginner who is willing to try a lot to figure out how to master these things. They can be quite flexible in the right hands, and the sharp tips catch on bad paper if you're a beginner, you'll hate all those things. But for someone who LOVES flexible dip pens and the variation of line that's possible these are fabulous. They're strong, make great lines, and are super expressive. They are kind of expensive, but that's part of it, and they wear out with solid use. But there's nothing like them.

I will start off by saying that what nibs work better for certain people is a matter of personal preference, and by all means these are great nibs. That said, I'm sure anyone looking at reviews of these will wonder how they stack up to the zebras, so here we go!I didn't even know these existed until I saw a blog comparing them to zebras and the writer preferred these Tachikawas. I already love and pretty much exclusively use zebra g nibs, but of course I had to try these. The author noted that they are smoother on the paper and ink lasts longer. Both good selling points.Personally, I found neither of those things to be true. It felt just as scratchy or scratchier on my smooth strath 300 bristol. Ink didn't seem to last longer in any significant way that I took notice of. So, both of those points were out the window for me.Pros: while I can't say definitively if a dip of ink lasts longer (or if it holds more ink), I did find that these were very good at drawing right away after dipping in ink. With the zebras I have to do some practice strokes to make sure the ink is flowing, but these Tachikawas seem to always want to draw right away. That is a very nice thing, and almost significant enough to make me want to switch to these. However...Cons: they do feel a little scratchier to me, but not so much that dislike using them. The big drawback for me is that I don't feel like I get the same fine point to my lines as I can with the zebras. I heard you can get as fine a line with these, but if I'm just drawing a dead fine line with these... no problem. They do a fine enough line. Bit if I want to do a thicker line that has a nice taper at the beginning or end (especially the beginning) these don't seem to do that well. They're a little inconsistent and unpredictable in that way. I use these for drawing comics and do a lot of feathering, so that is important to me.All said, these are really good nibs, and in most ways stack up to the zebras. But there is nothing compelling enough for me to switch from the zebras since I feel like I'm having more success with my line work using those. Really, though, I recommend trying them because it definitely is a personal choice and they are quality nibs.

Good nib but not a very flexible one. So could be better for beginners.

I've had dip pens for a while, but this if the first time I've used a G nib. This nib is fantastic!! I love how thin I can get the line during the initial sketch, but then I can go back in and restate the lines with bolder strokes using a bit more pressure. Don't forget to use the tip about running a lighter over the nib before first use to get rid of the oil coating that is common on many new nibs. This will help the nib hold more ink. Once properly prepped, I was surprised to see how long I could use a single dip into the ink well. I definitely recommend this nib!!

Been using these nibs for several months now and I am very pleased. Writing is smooth on the paper when used correctly, has just a little resistance to flex which makes it easy to use, and it holds A LOT of ink. The last point can take a little getting used to, but once you're accustomed to it, it's a welcomed feature. Only down side is that these nibs are a little harder to find than others, which makes them more expensive. Still love these nibs!
