I call this my butt harness. I have a 50 lb vizsla that loves to run. I am slow and fat, he is not! This harness is comfortable and allows me to control him. It does take a minute to figure out how to put it on correctly but otherwise it’s great. No chafing, no pain from him pulling. Make to direct him just with the motion of my hips

Works like a charm! I seriously don't know how I ran with my dog before getting this harness. It's well made, light weight, and super comfortable (which I was concerned about before using). There's a little time required to figure out your ideal fit, but once you get it you're all set. After that, it takes about 10 seconds to get it on and hooked up to the pooch. I do recommend using a bungee leash to make it easier on both of you.My dog is faster than me and that's never going to change, but this kinda evens things out a bit. It not as easy for her to drag me off trail after a squirrel, and I'm much more confident in our run since this harness sits just below my hips instead of my waist, which gives a lot more control (even on slippery surfaces like pine needles or leaves). It's easier for me to keep running for longer and our mile time has improved so I know she's getting a better workout, which is the most important thing as she's 1) BIG and 2) inexhaustible! She knows the sound of me stepping into it now and as soon as she hears it she's excited to get out the door. This is the real deal if you looking for an awesome hands free running set up. Your dog and you back will thank you!

This product has been run-changing for me and my dog, a Dutch Shepherd. I used to have a waist belt, but got hurt when he saw a squirrel before I did and took off full speed. I was afraid to run with him again. Then I did some research and found out about canicross belts that go around your hips. So much control, fantastic for trails!, and no back pain! Now I take him on nearly every run (even >10 miles), and when I don't take him, it's not because I don't have the right gear. It still isn't fun when he wants to chase critters, but way better. I do need the leg loops for it to stay on my hips, which looks a little funny, but it's fine. I got used to it and it's not uncomfortable anymore.

My little boy finally turned two. Pulling as an exercise isn’t suggested for his breed until around 1.5yo, so I thought this would be a good 2nd birthday idea. I was right!!! He loves it! Fit me just fine. Would not even try fitting this on my husband, so it’s not for every body. I’m not slim. I’m just an average height and weight lady. Size 8/10 and 5.4’. Looking forward to many more adventures with this!

Me pareció muy buena opción ya que mi perro jala con mucha fuerza y de esta forma no me lastima ya que distribuye todo en la cadera. Solo me ha costado trabajo ajustarla bien ya que al correr se me va bajando.

Good product, straps and buckles/metal are durable so you don’t have to worry about something breaking at the wrong time

What a useful and helpful piece of equipment that has made running hiking and walking with my husky much more comfortable for both of us. When combined with an elastic leash, it makes walking much more natural and running much more fun and secure. It takes a little adjusting to dial it in to the correct size, and the zipper on the back is a little bit tiny so adding a little bit of string to make it easier to use was helpful. The leg straps help keep it in place, and the wide yet breathable belt part helps distribute the load to make it safer on my back. Highly recommend. Only adjustment to it would be making the stainless buckles near the leash connection area rounded as they kind of hurt when your hand knocks against them. It is a minor thing compared to the overall usefulness of this product.

*Updated post (Sept 2021):Still enjoy this style and wear on every run. Same complaints from a year of running, hiking, skijoring, and rollerblading. Will switch when I find a brand that has larger size. Top clip band too tight. Leg loops too tight. When marathon training, longer runs (6+miles or 1+hours) the leg loops chaffed badly on my inner thigh crease. Had to use body glide before run to minimize impact and aloe after every run to minimize pain & speed up healing. Winter running the harness is a really tight fit. Skijoring was difficult with this harness over snow pants/layers. Had to leave pants zipper open with harness on underneath snow gear or wear harness over gear but not use leg loops. No leg loops lost me stability where the dog's force pulls on my body (pulls on my back more) and the harness had a tendency to shift when we made a turn or dog was distracted. I enjoy how the loop with the ring puts my puppy that much further in front of my skis, and is adjustable (my dog definitely has a preference for running a little more on the left than straight in front of me). Harness does breathe easily and dries quick after rain or sweat. Still really wish they made the top clip and the leg loops bigger.Original post (August 2020):This was the exact design I was looking for, nothing fancy, breathable, and would stay in place. I was tired of the around-your-waist hands free leashes giving me back aches and ruining my posture when my dog pulled me. My chiropractor and I agreed I needed something that cupped more behind and pulled from lower center of gravity so it would pull my hips forward when my dog pulled. (And thus improve my running form!)However, the belt is small. I'm not overly obese but I'm not exactly stick thin and the straps were tight (I am about 200lbs, 5ft7in, 14-16 US size pants). I even let almost all of the straps out to their max size and there wasn't anymore room to let out. Often feels like I'm being given a terrible wedgie on the leg bands and top line might leave a mark from rubbing. I understand the legs need to be kind of tight to help keep the belt in place and pulling from the correct position. But there's no way this will work in winter...The harness is ok for running, but there's NO WAY this will work for SKIJORING. Maybe it's not as cold where these are made, but in North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota USA, it can get to -60*F and winter gear is a must. (We won't be skijoring then, but -10*F is still safe for the dog with proper equipment/precautions/monitoring.) But there's no way I'll be able to put on this harness over a coat and snow pants! I barely fit into the harness now with my slimmest summer running gear. I was very disappointed especially because this has the words 'Skijoring Belt' in its name.If I put it on wrong and there's some other way to use this, then maybe manufacturers should include some kind of instructions on how this works with winter gear? Or just make more sizes or use longer straps so they can be made into any size bigger than medium.I paired this with 'Shock Absorbing Bikejoring Skijoring Bungee Dog Line' by Barbohas Dog Supplies.

I was worried that this belt would not be great as it was so cheap however, I am really impressed. It is comfortable, lightweight and sturdy. The only little thing is the leg straps could be slightly smaller for me personally (I am UK size 6 and 5'2).
