We live in an area that loses power a lot at least 4 times a year if not more. I hate lighting candles and hunting down flashlights and camping lanterns and batteries and pulling out our old oil lamp. We also live in an old building that if you have a microwave going and something else and your kid turns on the hair dryer bye bye lights. SO I saw and add for these and said worth a try. Literally 1 week after getting them and putting them in 4 lamps we had a huge storm and lost power. lights popped on. we unscrewed one from the bedroom lamp and hung it in the bathroom using the little adaptor they come with. They work as standard lightbulbs until the lights go out and then bam, they turn on or stay on but are DIM you have to unscrew them and put that adaptor on to make them brighter. we don't mind the dimness, so we leave it that way. Since that 1st time a week after we got them we have 3 more power losses for short times and 3 fuses being tripped and they just pop on and I'm not stuck in the dark. I will be ordering more to have on standby and will be replacing every lamp in the place with these.now I am seeing that some people are saying they didnt work right out of the box. I didnt have that problem.

They work great. The same day we got them, we lost power for seven hours. These bulbs were very helpful.

Put one in the vanity on our bathroom incase we lost power due to hurricanes. When you switch the lights off this bulb stays on. Wish it went off when the switch was off and came on when the power was out if I switched it on. Not what I was looking for but I waited past my return date to send it back. 3 stars bc it works but not as I thought it would or should.

First, what you need to know. These need to be in a light with a single bulb that is plugged into an outlet. If you put just one in a kitchen light with 3 other bulbs it will most likely come on after you flip the switch to off. Or it may not come on even when the power is out. This goes for extension cords as well. I put it in a lamp plugged into an extension cord that allows me to control 2 lights via on switch. When the switch is off the light come on. Why? It's simple and complicated. It's a fact so don't disrespect the product if you assumed it would do something it's not designed to do. I "think" they would act different if all the bulbs in a chandelier were these bulbs but I'm not sure. That said, after charging the bulb for 10+ hours I turned the light switch off, set the bulb on it's lowes setting and 9 hours later it was still lit. The lowest setting allows you to move around and see quite well. You won't read or do anything very far from the light, but I was able to easily move around 2 rooms. The bright setting is bright like a 60W bulb.I'm going to get a smart switch to eliminate the extension cord to control two light from one switch. I'll update after I have tried.

I was surprised by the power, but when the electricity goes out, it drops a little, but it's not a problem.autonomy is good. They're a little big, but that's not a problem.comes with a device to use them as an internal flashlight. You also have the clip to use a lamp without it being plugged.

This has come in handy with living in Florida. Now we don't need the generator to power our lights. We have lights since they're rechargeable. I even gave a few away to my neighbors. I would highly recommend if you live somewhere where power goes out a lot. You will get your money worth and not have to worry about candles and burning down the house. The bonus is you save your generator to power other things. Can't imagine not having these.

I thought this was a great idea for power outages rather than open flame candles or kerosene lamps.I got a small lamp for a dark corner under my kitchen cabinets. These are not bright lights but more than adequate if you have no lights. I keep this small lamp on which not only lights a dark area, but in turn keeps the bulb charged as well.On a humorous note, I had a little fun with the grandkids by holding “just a light bulb” in my hand telling them grandma was a little brighter than they thought. So far we haven’t had a power out so I can’t say how long it will last in the dark…but then again, there’s always those darn candles.
