The LM3914N-1 is a monolithic integrated circuit that senses analog voltage levels and drives 10 LEDs (Drives LEDs, LCDs or Vacuum Fluorescents), providing a linear analog display. A single pin changes the display from a moving dot to a bar graph. Current drive to the LEDs is regulated and programmable, eliminating the need for resistors. This feature is one that allows operation of the whole system from less than 3V. LM3914 can also act as a programmer, or sequencer.

Not a single bent pin or other observable defect. Solid value overall for 5 LM3914 ICs.Will update with further testing, 5 stars on initial impressions.

Honestly, I'm not sure I've actually seen anybody use these for a bar-graph display. Usually something like individual LEDs or some other indicators.But they work. Make sure you use a good decoupling capacitor with 'long' leads for the LEDs.Hit the TI site for the datasheet.
