Got an old mower for free, needed a new vacuum actuated fuel pump... SO my mower was the cost of this pump. Works great so far.

Installed this fuel pump, which fit perfectly. It appeared to have solved my intermittent starting issue. A couple of weeks later, same problem resurfaced. One would have thought maybe the fuel pump wasn’t the problem after all. Through my troubleshooting, (ie fuel line replacement, fuel filter replacement I determined this fuel pump was no good. Went to John Deere dealer and bought one there. My mower runs great, starts every time. Since this pump has screws holding the two halves together I decided to disassemble it. It appears a small plastic disc inside was warped and not getting a good seal for fuel flow. Would not recommend this priduct

This is my 2nd purchase. I screwed up the 1st one, had it maybe a year and had to remove it to access the valve cover on my 18 yr old Scag mower, the fuel line sized onto the fitting and it broke when I tried to twist it off. My bad, not the pump's fault. It's inexpensive, it works, it's easy to replace, and shipping was quick.I've been keeping this mower going long past the time most people would have retired and replaced it, yet Amazon, their vendors and the parts they sell have enabled me to maintain functionality long past "normal usage" or expected service life.

Had fuel in my engine oil. Likely bladder failure in fuel pump. Replaced fuel pump, changed oil and added shut off valve. Runs great no more problems. This fuel pump is well priced and easy to install. I highly recommend.
