About this item

  • WHY uvBeast V3? It's the evolution from 100 LED models. (1) V3 WILL SAVE YOU BIG MONEY IN THE LONG RUN. No more stung by hidden running costs that hurt your pocket. (2) HIGHER UV INTENSITY THAN 100 LED. Delivered by massive TRIPLE 1.2A UV LEDs. (3) UNBEATABLE UV RANGE. Now the UV beam throw goes out to more than 70 feet. This is BIG LEAGUE
  • YOU’LL MAKE BIG COST SAVINGS IN THE LONG RUN. uvBeast V3 does a re-configured power delivery system. Way more efficient than common 100 LED versions. A costly but necessary evil for that tech
  • EVEN HIGHER UV INTENSITY THAN 100 LED VERSIONS. Flick the switch on the V3 and you’ll see the difference of the upgraded 3x SMD LEDs. It’s most noticeable in the throw of the UV beam. It’s long range out to 70 feet, which is more than twice that of 100 LED versions. We even successfully tested the fluorescence of UV ink out to 135 feet! This UV flashlight will NOT leave you wanting for more
  • EVOLUTION FROM 100 LED. The 100 LED versions use the older DIP type LEDs (Dual Inline Package) encased in a bulb. There’s a limit to their UV output. We pushed that envelope with the V2. V3 now uses SMD tech to pump higher intensity UV delivered at 3.6 Amps (3x1.2A LEDs) – just when you thought that our 100 LED couldn’t get any more intense!
  • READY TO MOVE INTO ULTIMATE UV FLASHLIGHT POWER? Our 100 LED totally impressed the market, and just when they thought it couldn’t get any better. Well here it is. With V3 you’ll be making the transition into biggest league UV. We continually test the V3 in the lab, in the field, and with a select bunch of testers/critics to provide a great fit for your needs

NEW RELEASE: uvBeast V3. THE BIG POWER AND HIGHLY REGARDED UV FLASHLIGHT JUST GOT REVAMPED

Since 2016 a lot of folks (and we mean a-lot) have told us they love the uvBeast, BUT please make a rechargeable one, they said. Why? The costs add up with the 100 LED versions. Every 12-14 hours of use you’ll need to fork out for another six AA alkaline batteries. But, folks have our 100 LED models in return for blindingly good UV! So, here’s our give-back to you

WHAT’S NEW WITH V3

This is commercial-grade high power UV deployed in professional services, now making its way to you. Now it uses rechargeable 18650 Li-ion cells. BUT, that’s not all. Powered by Li-ion means BIG SMD LEDs, more UV intensity and much more UV range, and with the same uvBeast UV top-notch beam (385-395nm) you’ve come to expect from us. To say that it’s even better than our 100 LED models is really quite saying something. Do ask anyone

SAVE HUGE COSTS WITH RECHARGEABLE 18650 LI-ION CELLS

Let’s face it. You’re going to be owning an LED UV flashlight for years. Considered your total cost outlay for a 100 LED? You’ll need to fork out for a new set of six AA alkaline batteries every 12-14 hours of use. That’s quite a lot of dollars even over six months of use, let alone a single year

WE NAILED IT

We’ve already rolled this out to an early group of professionals and enthusiasts who are hard to please! Strong thumbs up, which means that you won’t be making a blind investment

CLAIM TO FAME?

Producing a mega power, high intensity UV beam isn’t easy for a handheld portable package. Especially a uvBeast top-notch UV beam, unbeatable throw range, and a Li-ion power source, into one flashlight! We wanted to make sure that you won’t find others like it

V3 is the upgrade into higher intensity UV with a beam which will shock you. But yet low cost-of-ownership*

*x2 rechargeable Li-ion cells give you the life of approx. 93 sets of x6 AA cells if you use the 100 LED versions.

The V3 385-395nm has been nicknamed by users as the "UV Range Master".

And there's a good reason for that

WE DON'T IMITATE. WE INNOVATE

uvBeast V2 Black Light UV Flashlight High Power Quality

A UV FLASHLIGHT WITH THE DRAWBACKS DESIGNED-OUT

We don't spew out me-too UV flashlights. We do it different. We solve the user frustration first, then produce.

  • User-centered design means we put user requirements at the heart of every design. Users want more power. Our R and D people are not sleeping. We're always upgrading and updating and we're absolutely obsessed in getting top performance into your hands
  • We've been in the UV Flashlight business since 2016 when we launched our V1 model. V1 was a direct hit with users. Why? Because we talk when we must and shut up and listen when we need to. User-feedback goes straight into our design engineering
  • The market is full of fly-by-night or non-expert sellers who often procure from dubious and non-verified sources. Cloned or copied LEDs just aren't the same
  • We take great pride in our manufacturing & quality. We control our supply chain from sourcing raw materials, manufacturing, assembly, and then on to you. We have total-line-of-sight. The problem with middle men or vendors who only procure from others to offer to you, is that quality along with high performance isn't really within their gift

WE CONTROL OUR ENTIRE SUPPLY CHAIN FROM RAW MATERIALS TO MANUFACTURE. uvBeast POWER ISN'T BY COINCIDENCE. IT'S BY DESIGN

uvBeast V3 385-395nm 390nm Wavelength

POWERFUL UV. BY DESIGN.

  • We examine each UV LED for the correct color temperature and UV output range. We don’t turn a blind eye to any that don’t make the grade, instead we throw away “factory rejects”. That’s a promise. What are factory rejects? It’s a thriving market for UV LEDs that didn’t make the grade. Rather than lose the supplier money, many are sold wholesale, at very attractive rates, where no questions are asked. Problem is, that they’re inferior!
  • We don’t deal in a thriving but very lucrative bad practice where “factory rejects” or “factory seconds” are simply re-circulated and passed on to you unawares We don’t procure wholesale nor cloned UV LEDs produced for the mass market, by unknown third parties. Instead, we make them. We’re not middlemen, traders, nor resellers. We control our entire supply chain ensuring we pass on a quality product directly to you
  • Each UV LED is made exactly to uvBeast specifications. And with a high density flux in 385nm–395nm UV emitted, you won’t see a ton of visible light in the 400nm+ range either! And we didn’t stop there. Super tough aerospace-grade aluminum construction throughout, this thing not only shines like a Beast, but it’s also built like a Beast! uvBeast has become the brand-of-choice

EVERYBODY LOVES IT WHEN COMMERCIAL-GRADE HIGH POWER UV COMES ON TO THE DOMESTIC SCENE

We engineer, design, and build from scratch. It’s what we do. We don't clone, copy, or do look-a-likes. We know the ingredients that go into a great UV flashlight to exceed your needs.

The level of UV is so intense, that’ll it’ll take you to the next level of ultraviolet beam use, including the convenience of using it in lighted conditions.

uvBeast V3 Black Light Flashlight UV LED High Power Quality

We’ve added more juice to make this UV flashlight shine like a Beast. This is V3 CLASS UV power. Make no mistake. The sheer user demand for UV power generated our V3 models.

  • We’ve taken care of the substrates, nanostructures, sandwich layering, Quantum Well, distribution of UV radiant intensity, and the UV flux density band, so all these can take care of you.
  • We weren’t happy with a feeble trickle of UV. Instead we give you an explosion of UV out at the business-end!
uvBeast V3 Black Light UV Flashlight High Power

So, why settle for weak, dinky, and dim You really could do a lot better with more UV power, more intensity, more range, and a Beast of a beam. It really does make all the difference.

  • Locating pet or human urine becomes that much better under the UV intensity, and the long range flood beam will flush out those elusive and dangerous scorpions like you’ve never experienced.
  • Other applications such as inspection, UV curing, leakage detection, commercial NDT, glassware detection, artwork appraisal, and more, that could do with more UV power. It will bring transformational results that will astound you, and change the way you work

I am someone who works as a volunteer to socialize very young kittens and even feral cats. I have special set ups in rooms for them, and it’s very important to me to make sure they are kept clean and sanitary and safe.I have had several much smaller and less effective black lights in order to help me find cat urine and also cat vomit. Sorry about the specificity, but this is why I bought this flashlight. I can use this flashlight in full daylight or in a fully lit room at night and still identify Areas that need to be sanitized quickly, efficiently, and without me having to guess if I got it all.I have also used it for other purposes because I do live in the desert and I do hike. I have used it at night to see if I can find specific spiders, not to harm them but to observe them. That said my primary use is virtually daily, but in both situations, I find this flashlight to be extremely effective and high-quality

This light definitely met my expectations, considering the higher price point. The light feels solid and well made. The bottom cap has multiple o rings for a good seal, and the removable lithium batteries fit nicely. I was able to power on the light right away without charging first. The batteries charged to full power, using the provided charger, in under 90 minutes.I was able to find a suspected cat urine spot, easily, and now I know I need to get my little guy checked out. If you own a cat, and have any suspicion that they are peeing out of the box, this flashlight is perfect. The light is very bright and the wavelength was perfect for identifying the cat urine.Overall, I was looking for a good quality UV light, and this item definitely fits the bill.

The uvBeast v3 is the most powerful uv flashlight there is. It projects a central spot of 11 degrees with a surrounding fill of 63 degrees. I zoomed my 3 watt 365nm uv flashlight to match the fixed fill circle of the uvBeast and found that even the Beast's fill gives a brighter fluorescence. The uvBeast beam is similar to my 36 watt LED uv bulb as seen in the first picture attached. The Beast has a tighter and brighter spot. I bought the Beast to get more portability than the bulb has with the 10 foot extension cord I attached with a bulb receptacle and switch on it. Since the Beast is temporarily out of stock, I'll let you know that my bulb shown in the second picture is no longer available at Amazon, but I see a similar one at https://www.amazon.com/KINGBO-36W-UV-Blacklight-Decorations/dp/B0749JNZXV/ref=sr_1_7?keywords=uv+LED+bulb&qid=1578421359&sr=8-7 I would strongly suggest you buy the uvBeast with the batteries and charger because 18650 batteries have gotten expensive and hard to find. I have not gotten the charger plug led to change to green indicating a full charge. I initially charged the battery for 7 hours. I stopped to measure the battery voltage at 4.22 volts, a full charge. I used the flashlight over a six week period and finally just left in on for another 25 minutes before it dimmed. Then I took a voltage reading every hour while charging the batteries. The result: before charging 3.05 volts 1 hour 3.47 volts 2 hours 3.52 volts 3 hours 3.56 volts 4 hours 3.60 volts 5 hours 3.62 volts 6 hours 3.63 volts 7 hours 3.65 volts 8 hours 3.66 volts It didn't come to 4.2 full charge volts this time, but I've read that you get the longest life from an 18650 battery when you don't fully charge it each time. Seeing how the charging started to level off at 4 hours, and the uvBeast has been working well since recharging, that's how long I'll charge it for in the future. Some reviewers ask what you can do with the uvBeast flashlight. Besides looking for animal urine and spotting scorpions, and checking for the fluorescent ribbon in currency from $5 up to $100, there is lighting up fluorescent blacklight posters, highlighting markers, many green dish washing liquids, laundry detergents, antifreeze, some clothing, and some minerals. If you don't mind being grossed out, aim the flashlight around the toilet in the bathroom or food prep area in the kitchen. I bought a set of 15 fluorescent minerals on Amazon from Frey Scientific, but most such sets would need a dangerous shortwave uv light for most of the rocks. Only 4 rocks would fluoresce as seen in the next 2 pictures. My favorite use for the uvBeast is lighting up phosphorescent glow in the dark powders, tapes, and pebbles, as seen in the next few pictures. I've been doing art with the tape. I found glow in the dark paints to be disappointing. The powders are often shown in bottles but packaged in plastic bags. I bought the bottles separately. The powders come in the most colors, 13, though many are a variation of green, blue, red. My camera didn't capture the true purple color. The longest lasting colors are the three that appear white in daylight but glow green, blue-green, and blue, and one of the reds, as you can see in the sequence of 10 minute exposures. The powder is messy. The tapes come in a total of five glow colors, though the red and orange are similar. The pebbles come in a few more color variations than the tapes. Many reviewers of the pebbles complained that they left them outside in walkways and they didn't glow. They do glow, but the powders, tapes, and rocks, will only glow in color for about an hour depending on the age of your eyes, after which their illumination drops below our color threshold. In complete darkness, you can still see a gray glowing all night long. Pebbles left outside will start glowing once the sun sets and lose their color during twilight that lasts longer than your night vision will see the colors. You need the uvBeast to light them up once twilight has ended. I have received word that they plan to market a 365nm, perhaps uvBeast v4? That is usually considered the sweet spot for uv flashlights, but I don't feel I'm missing anything with the uvBeast v3. A zoom ability would be nice, but taking a step back works just fine.Addendum: Note that I the pictures I refer to are not in the order they were downloaded. I'll number them in future reviews. How powerful is the uvBeast v3? Two or three seconds exposure in the central spot from several feet away is enough to fully charge any phoshorescent glow in the dark item. The most useful purpose for glow in the dark tape is on things you need to find or use in the dark, such as flashlights, astronomical telescopes, light switches, exits, etc. Another uv flashlight use is for collectors to identify depression era glass called vaseline glass, which is actually uranium glass. It is fluorescent in uv light. See the added picture of the doll. It is slightly radioactive, so you may wish to display such items behind glass, which ironically blocks the radiation from such glass. The four hour recharge of the batteries I suggest works out well because the 1 amp (1000ma) charger should theoretically put 4000ma into the battery pair in that time, which totally can hold 5200ma between them. That's about 77 percent charged. I highly recommend the uvBeast v3.

I am relatively new to the black light "scene", however I quickly turned what was just a fascination into fandom. I use black lights for a number of purposes such as mineral identification, fluid leaks, scorpion hunting, finding covered up "repairs" on old items, and even curing resins (using a UV resin, I can cure a coat on a 3d printed item, or other type of bonding in 20-30 minutes vs. hours in the sunlight). I have used a LOT of different lights, and this has been the first company to live up to their advertising, and proudly stand by their products even when things might go wrong. For my purposes I have found the last brand I will ever need as I have nothing to complain about. The light is thoughtfully built, and it shows in the details such as the O-rings throughout and the comprehensive documentation that they have put together for their products. I have also learned quite a bit about LEDs and their varied quality levels. Just like CPUs and other precision electronics there are those pieces that under perform, perform as expected, or in some cases outperform their specifications. This is a good opportunity to employ the old adage "Never judge a book by it's cover". In this case the single most important component is the LED, and what you get in many of the other lights that look frankly very similar in build, are likely the B-C stock LEDs that were passed up by these guys in purchasing. So, I think I'll stick with these guys from now on unless I need to buy a cheap bludgeoning device that also happens to emit some ultra violet light. :)One note for scorp hunters. Speaking specifically to the V3, this light produces a VERY strong center beam. So strong, in fact, that direct contact with the center of the beam will make most retreat if possible. I find that the aura of the beam is more than sufficient for observing only, but I actually enjoy that this light can be used to "shoo" away the pointy little things from the camp site etc. without having to get physical! Moths, and other flying things, however, will consider you the most sexy thing on the planet, so unless your objective is to mate with an insect, I would suggest keeping the beam ground bound! All of this said, I will let the results speak for themselves. I have attached an image of a very curious crystal/mineral that I happened upon under normal light, and then under, well, Beast light! I am pretty sure that the amount of power coming back into the visible spectrum on reflection made the sensor on the camera cry as I did this...Pro Tip:Many people don't know most laundry detergent contains phosphors to give your clothes that extra "unf" when light hits them (it almost seems like cheating, right??). As such, those same phosphors in concentration will light up as if radioactive under an ultra violet light! There is an immeasurable amount of fun to be had peopling the earth with hidden UV messages... ;) Or if you MUST be practical in all things, this is also a good way to check your washer's effectiveness. Glowing spots in the laundry are a good leading indicator of a sup-par wash!
