It’s not too bulky so fits in my bag. My kid likes it without the cushion, but that’s one toddler preference. We started EC a while ago and this item has been pretty useful while being outside. Either for number 1 or too, easy to clean also. Some of the EC fiendly products can be pricy but this one was the least expensive and sturdy enough to hold our 2-yo toddler still. With babies it’s easier to hold between your legs while holding the baby.

Cute design but poor execution. It's hard to hold a baby and the potty at the same time, especially when the baby is fussy. The tape are kinda 1 time thing too. It needs lots of patience from the parent and the baby. The good part, it's easy to clean and store.

My husband and I bought this for our newborn son after hearing about elimination communication. After looking through the different design options on Amazon, we elected for this over the more popular top hat design both for its price and for its shape (more narrow, so easier to fit between your legs when sitting your infant on your lap). The potty itself is small (see pictures), but provides enough room to catch pee without concerns of it going over the edge. I would think this would be sufficient size-wise for children of up to a year, as the instruction manual indicates. The plastic material is slick, so liquids bead up and roll off without difficulty, making it easy to clean. It is also reportedly BPA free, which is always a plus. The velvet cover for the edge is soft, but did come with some loose threads. We have been able to avoid getting any waste on it through positioning/taking it off before emptying and cleaning the potty, but I don’t think it would be much of a hassle to wash it when needed. Overall, the potty has been effective for us and was worth the cost.

This newborn potty is meant to be squeezed between the parent's thighs while holding the baby over the potty. I put on the non-slip pieces on the outside of the slippery plastic, however, I'm still nervous if I squeeze my thighs a bit too much, the potty might shoot into the air and spill urine on me. The fuzzy seat cover is a nice idea in theory, but it will probably need to be routinely laundered.
