NICHE Cylinder Head
- A cylinder head is usually located on the top of the engine block
- It serves as a housing for components such as the intake and exhaust valves, springs and lifters and the combustion chamber
- The passages in the cylinder head allow air and fuel to flow inside the cylinder while permitting the exhaust gases to flow out of it
- The cylinder head uses a gasket that aids in preventing water or oil from leaking into the combustion chambers
NICHE CYLINDER
- ATV engines come with either one or two cylinders
- Displacements typically measuring between 100cc and 800cc
- It's important to note that safely riding an ATV requires a certain amount of body weight and physical strength
- Disaster can strike, for example, when a young rider uses an overpowered or a larger ATV
NICHE GASKET
A gasket is a mechanical seal which fills the space between two or more mating surfaces, generally to prevent leakage from or into the joined objects while under compression.
Some Types of Gaskets:
- Head gaskets create a seal between the engine block and cylinder head. This seal establishes a proper compression and prevents fluid leaks into the cylinders
- Base gaskets create a seal between the top-end of your engine and the engine cases. Stop pesky engine oil leaks before they cause permanent damage to your engine.
- The valve cover is sealed to the upper section of the engine cylinder head by a valve cover gasket. As it passes around the camshafts, rockers, and valves, the gasket stops engine oil from seeping out.
NICHE PISTON
An ATV piston is a component of engines, pumps, and gas compressors. It is located in a cylinder and is made gas-tight by piston rings. In an engine, its purpose is to transfer force from expanding gas in the cylinder to the crankshaft through a piston rod and or connecting rod
Piston Anatomy
A piston is a cylindrical engine component that slides back and forth in the cylinder bore by forces produced during the combustion process. The piston acts as a movable end of the combustion chamber. The stationary end of the combustion chamber is the cylinder head.
Piston Components
ATV Piston components include the piston head, piston pin bore, piston pin, skirt, ring grooves, ring lands, and piston rings. The piston head is the top surface of the piston which is subjected to tremendous forces and heat during normal engine operation

The kit is complete, meaning that even though it's not pictured and the description does not specify, the piston and rings are included.So far, so good.I did, however, order the OEM gasket kit from Rocky Mountain ATV.

Does work good does have a lot of power worked great on my 2002 Yamaha grizzly 660 especially saying I upgraded to a 686 sucker gets up and goes starts up no problem

Professionally installed. Less than one hour on it entire upper case shattered. Cheap casting. Didn't even get to trail ride, just backing it out of garage and riding around yard.

This is a good kit just remember you need to buy a good head gasket do not use the one that comes with it it will blow after a few hours

Looks like everything is their but the jug is damaged not going to be able to use it looks like it took a hard fall during shipping but the product is not good if I can't use what I bought . I bought this kit so I could fix my atv . And by the look of the damaged jugg that not gonna happen I will be more then happy the send it back I am not pay for shipping it back and I need a jug to replace this one first I will send pics
