I ordered 2 scooters for me and my granddaughter from different company for Christmas. We took them out the first day and one of them broke when she hit a bump and both of them would only give about 5 miles of range even though they advertised as 19 miles. I sent them back. That next day I ordered 2 of the NIU scooters. Just got them today. All I can say is the the quality of the scooters, range, performance and App are a huge upgrade. What a difference!! So much smoother, quieter and high performance. I love the Regenerative Braking and that the App can manage both scooters. Also, there is tracking included. In my opinion, for the price, these scooters are simply Amazing!!!

I ordered this scooter for short commute. It is very sturdy and good design. Speed and battery is good for both commute and cruising around a community. You could buy this as a gift and it is good for all ages and people will love it.

STRONG FRAME, GOOD SPEED, AND BATTERY LASTS PRETTY LONG. COULD ONLY WISH FOR A MORE SUBSTANTIAL CHARGER. I AM APPREHENSIVE TO USE IT ALOT AS THE CHARGER IS SMALL AND TENDS TO GET HOT. EVERYTHING ELSE SEEMS TO BE GOOD. I WONDER IF THE UL CERTIFICATION IS SO ASSURING ANY LONGER? I HAVE HAD THE SAME GRIPE ON ALL OF MY POWER TOOL CHARGERS TOO. THEY HAVE ALL BECOME INFERIOR TO THE PREVIOUS GENERATION. HOPEFULLY UL WILL GET SOME CAJONES AND PUT IN HIGHER STANDARDS FOR BATTERY CHARGERS. UNTIL THEN BITE YOUR FINGER AMERICA.

I bought this for my son. He rode it for ~3 months, but then the scooter stopped responding and would not turn on. I sent it to NIU for diagnostics and repair and they determined the battery had failed (after only a few months of use).NIU did not have the battery in stock to match the color of the scooter I had purchased, and matching was important to my son and me. NIU asked if I'd be OK with receiving a batter of the wrong color and I told them no - I would rather wait for their stock to return in the correct color. They waited some time, then decided to send me the scooter with the wrong battery installed anyways. Furthermore, they did not return a charger.I sent them further messages informing them I was not happy with them switching to the wrong color batter, and letting them know I had no way to charge the battery since they did not return all my hardware. NIU has not responded to me, and so I've had a brick in my garage for months.Almost total waste of money here - I DO NOT recommend buying from this company.

I've never owned an electric scooter before. We were looking at some for our 9 year old daughter when I thought it might be fun to have my wife and I join her and make it a family thing.I bought my daughter a different brand and when looking for ours I was nervous tbh. I already soooo many reviews on a bunch of different scooters. I found myself on Reddit asking for advice when I noticed a trend ... Most everyone was saying this was the best scooter for the cost.I was hesitant to pull the trigger but decided while on sale let's give it a shot. I ordered two one for myself and one for my wife. They say in my closet for about a month and the entire time I kept coming back reading reviews wondering if I would have charging issues or battery issues etc.On Xmas eve we popped them open and to my relief they charged just fine (quicker then I thought they would) the app wasn't hard to use and when it was time to go out and use them....oh man what a blast. These were definitely worth the purchase. They are durable, the suspension was great, it picked up speed quick and maintained it well. Our neighbor also has a few inclines that I was a bit concerned about, but was able to hit almost top speed up the hill. For reference I'm 5'9 170 ibs and my wife is 5'3 120.

You'll notice the charger is the only thing in the picture. That's because that is the only part of this purchase I ever see. My daughter is on it right now, hints the missing scooter! I bought two of these. One for my daughter(11) and one for me step daughter (13). They LOVE them! They are constantly on them, so I never see the scooter unless it needs to be charged! These scooters have cruise control, a headlight, and three speed modes allowing you to set a speed you don't want your kids to go over. You can pair it to the app on your phone, which allows you to track your scooter and lock it in case of theft. It's not super light, but it's not too heavy either. It's solid. Both kids have wrecked, one of which was spectacular, and the scooters barely scuffed. Kids fine, don't worry. Battery life all depends on the kind of riding you're doing. If you're going full out in an area with a lot of hills, you'll get about an hour and a half. Flat ground at more reserved speeds, about 3 hours. I am really impressed with this scooter. 10/10 recommend if you are looking for an electric scooter for kids, or even for adults as a recreational item.

I received NIU KQi2 Pro instead of the NIU K100P. I am not sure how much difference between these two. According to the data sheet, KQi2 has a less powerful motor, 300W vs 600W, and less max load, 100Kg vs. 120Kg. On the other hand, the KQi2 has better range, 40km vs 29km. The following review is for KQi2 Pro.The build quality of KQi2 is quite good and feels very strong. The 10 inch tyres work very well on bike trails and streets. It is not designed for rough roads or off-road. The KQi2 has very good lights which help the night ridings. The brake light functions the same way as cars, increasing brightness when the brake is engaged, which also works very well at night. The KQi2 is quite easy to control. The range is decent on flat roads. I tried a couple hills and the scooter was able to make it up all the hills, but it did slow down quite a bit.The KQi2 can also be folded for storage or transportation. However, it requires some force to be unfolded. Also, the scooter is a bit heavy.Overall, this is a good e-scooter and worth a recommendation.

The product I received wasn't the product that was ordered. Instead of receiving the K100p, I received the KQi2. I did some research and pulled information on both models to check if they are the same, or if one is better than the other. If you end up in the same situation, this review will help determine if the model received is inferior to the model advertised. I'm not sure if the KQi2 is an upgraded model of the K100, but there are surely some differences between the two models. The technical specifications for both scooters are very limited. While it doesn't seem that there is a significant difference in power between the two models (300W with up to 28km/h), the KQi2 claims a brushless motor, while the K100's motor seems a little vague on specifications. The KQi2 lacks the front wheel suspension that the K100 has, which compromises its potential for an off-road comfort, albeit the KQi2 has slightly bigger wheels (10" vs 9.5"); both are tubeless. However, there is a significant difference in the braking system. KQi2 is superior to K100. The KQi2 has rear and front braking with EBS, which means it is both mechanical and electronic. The K100 has a front braking only-non EBS. The wiring is also concealed on the KQi2 and visible on the K100.The front light is different. The KQi2 has a better more pronounced 3w LED light as opposed to the smaller integrated light on the K100. The taillight's physical shape is different but seems to be the same red light. The KQi2 has side reflectors on the handlebar steering shaft, and front and rear wheels. The K100 has reflectors on the side handlebar steering shaft only. These are reflectors only, and it would have been nice to have a turn signal for safe driving. Unfortunately, this is lacking on both models. The digital display on the KQi2 is far superior than the K100. KQi2 has a bigger LED display located in the center of the steering handlebar. The K100 has a smaller LCD display located on the right handle.Except for the suspension, it seems that the KQi2 is the better scooter. Now, how does the KQi2 perform in real life:1. I'm not a fan of high speed scooters, so the 28km/h is more than enough for my needs. However, there's been issues with speed accuracy displayed ranging between 2-5 km/h difference.2. Battery is claimed as 365Wh with regenerative braking giving a range of up to 40km. I never had to travel a distance of more than 20Km on the scooter on an average speed, and I still had about 20% remaining power on the battery. It takes about 6 hours to fully charge, as claimed. However, I limit the charging to a max of 90% to avoid overcharging, preserve battery life, and prevent an issue with brakes not working initially on 100% battery (more about that below)3. Riding comfort: overall, it was comfortable to ride, although I wish that it had suspensions for a better ride on uneven terrain.4. Braking: I noticed some reviews mentioning that the brakes do not work immediately when charged to 100%, which got me worried. So, I tested it. Indeed, it takes few presses on the brakes to engage. This is a huge safety issue, and I don't know if this has anything to do with EBS, regenerative braking, or simply a faulty function. A workaround is to ensure that you limit the charge to 90% on the app. But... it's a workaround, not a solution.5. NIU app: I think the app is what might distinguish this scooter from competitors. It's very immersive and loaded with functions. Pairing the scooter was straightforward and without any issues. It provides hsitory and info about the rides, control and set a max top speed, lock and unlock the scooter to prevent theft. You can't factory reset the scooter either without contacting customer service and providing the sales receipt. That doesn't prevent the scooter from being stolen, obviously, but it helps to know that the thief won't be able to use it.Despite the unexpected switch, which seem to be an upgrade, I'm mostly happy with KQi2. It's a solid scooter with good performance and a great app. However, that braking issue is a serious concern that needs to be addressed. If NIU can fix this flaw, the KQi2 would be a top contender. But for now, proceed with caution (and maybe keep that charger at 90%!).

This product arrived the next day via Amazon Prime and was packaged in a large cardboard retail box.PROS-I had not ever used a scooter before and so I was a bit worried how it would handle, but this is a smooth ride, with easy handling, definitely easier than riding a bike.-The first thing to notice i that has a very sturdy frame. I am 6 feet tall and 240lbs and worried that this would not support my weight, but the frame supports me surprisingly well. Nothing feels flimsy or cheap and I am hoping the solid build quality will provide strong durability.-Another surprising feature was the speed this scooter can attain. It goes much faster than I anticipated; while others may find the speed okay, I was actually a bit fearful at first while I was getting used to riding and even now with protective gear I am more comfortable when not at top speed.-The performance is also decent at an incline' I have to pass through an area with decent inclines everyday and it slows down minimally despite my weight.-The charging is decently fast and I at first I brought the charger with me whenever I used the scooter but I am easily able to make it about 3 to 4 km away and back. One day I forgot to charge the scooter and brought the charger with me, but it actually made it a full second trip without any problem.-A very cool feature is the charging break which allows for improved battery life simply when breaking.-The scooter folds down quite compactly and I can actually fit it in a large locker with a bit of maneuvering for the handlebars.-At the time of ordering, this scooter was listed at $700 CAD which I thought was quite reasonable, however since then, the price has dropped to $500 which I feel represents good value. I definitely appreciate budget friendly alternatives to driving.CONS-The box this arrives in both large and heavy. You may need to enlist a partner when carrying, especially if contending with any stairs.-The scooter itself is quite heavy and it is an odd enough size where I am not comfortable locking it up outside when running an errand, but it is awkward (although completely possbible) to fold and bring indoors with me.-There is a bit of adjustment when learning to ride. If you are buying this because of mobility issues, keep in mind that if standing for extended periods of time is difficult, this will not necessarily alleviate that, especially since you are often in a state of hypertension and alert.

This scooter is a lot of fun! It was very easy to set up. All I had to do was push the handlebars into the body and use 4 screws to secure it. It took me less than 5 minutes. I live at the bottom of a hill so my first test was taking it up to the top. It easily accelerated and went up the hill with no trouble. It felt smooth and safe as I rode on it. In order to change gears you have to push the button on the centre console. Which is easy enough, but I didn't love having to take one hand off the handle bar to switch gears while in motion. It would be nice if there was an option to have an integrated gear shift on the handle so I wouldn't have to move my hand. The scooter itself is very heavy, which may make it hard for some to carry but made me feel secure about its build and durability. Despite the weight it provides a smooth, fast ride, even on hills. The dual braking system made stopping easy and safe, even on uneven surfaces. It folds right in half to make it easier to store, which I love. All in this is a really fun scooter and I'm having a blast with it!
