Unit we received was defective, water was lukewarm. Returned it, and replacement unit works great. We added an insulating jacket around it (cut from yoga-mat material) to make it more energy-efficient. This purchase replaced our first one, which lasted several years and eventually had trouble dispensing water.

Pour-over coffee & teas - works great. Initial temperature choice of 3 settings, can be set as low as 145F for green tea. Maintains water at the pre-set temperature & can be increased if a higher setting is available. Easy to use. Does not cool water between temperatures unless the non-heating mode is set; haven't used that setting. Drips once after main pour which is easy to catch.

This is a great product. Great value and it serves the purpose of having hot water throughout the day. We went thru a couple of Zojirushi Hybrid Water Boiler and Warmer. We liked it's functions and the look until the nonstick inner pot started the rust appearance. For health reason, we started looking for a stainless steel inner pot instead of buying the same brand. (Zojirushi is a good brand, we have other items and worked beautifully. ) The stainless steel inner pot impressed us and decided to give it a try on this brand "Nutrichef". Glad we did...

PROS: Nice looking, good capacity and good temperature control. Also, although it is difficult to get a tech to talk to (may have to wait a day or 2 for them to get back), they do stand behind their product and replaced when I asked. Also, it seems reasonably priced and has a good form factor.CONS: When half full neither of the units I got pump well. Comes in spurts once the unit is half full. Solution: keep it pretty full (which means consider your effective capacity to be half of what it's rated. Also, no on-off switch but that's a minor nuisance. Also, each use requires that you first press an "unlock" button before pressing the dispense button. It may be possible to turn that off or wire around the switch but I just put up with it (a little bit like Chinese water torture but I'm sure people with toddlers crawling on counters will like that safety feature.
